I am sitting here in my office reading a rant email from a coworker because he just found out that my company is no longer giving out retirement plaques.
I am laughing my ass off !!!
I am really thinking, you are about to collect upwards of 14k a month, never have to work again, and you are bitching about a plaque ?
I want to walk down the hall and go smack the shit out of him !
And yes he is a CAC

He is official out date is in July, but he is leaving next week, using sick / vacation time.
I wanted to reply to the email fuck that plaque, Ill buy you one if I could leave this bitch next week.
 
Someone that will be missed might get one or a party on the job if they give a fuck.

My parents didn't say shit,just cleaned out their lockers and that's what got people to talking but it was too late to plan some big goodbye party but someone did run out and buy my mother a sheet cake.

My old man said he didn't say nothing cause he didn't have to,managment is good for telling shit good and or bad.

Months before you get ready to leave some shit goes on and your name gets mixed up in it....that's what you don't want.

So, I have 17 days left, but I have a shitload of PTO left. I go to our HR person to ask how that will be worked out, and she said, "Okay, I looked at what you have, and what we'll pay you for. In order for you to get everything you deserve; you need to take another week off. You've earned everything you have here, and I don't want you to leave a single minute on the table. I know you just got back from Panama, but taking another 40 hours would make everything good." First world problems, I know.

I am waiting for the day, we have rollover so I have like 3.5 months between vacation and sick time right now. I cant wait to leave.
My wife is like why dont you just work and take the check, I looked at her like she got 3 heads.

My daughter graduate HS, the other be jr, we taking a road trip down the coast from NJ to FL then across to Mexico.

Sell my house off my rental properties and my townhouse, work on my mancave at my house, get a new boat, and take care of the new babies my wife and gf want.

Im gonna fish and enjoy life to the fullest.

It's funny you say that. When the Operations manager found out they were coming, he said, "Man, everybody in all of our departments love you!"

I got a plaque, a gift catalog (not to exceed $300), and the option of a team party, or visa gift card. I took the gift card.

The team took me out to lunch anyway.

Kinda anticlimactic. When I first joined, there used to be BIG parties at the VFW halls for retirees.
