Will Smith Got A New Album! Don't Laugh! Are You Listening Downloading Or Copping?

Crazy to see Will rapping for 30+ years. Much respect to one of the greats of our lifetime. From 89-2007 he was killing shit. Parent's just don't understand basically blew up MTV as a station. He then killed it for the next 4 years dropping solid albums all with hits and winning awards. He was one of the first rappers turned actors and by far the biggest rapper turned actor ever. By 95 he doing Bad boys and making back to back to back 100 million dollar plus movies. During the late 90's he was the biggest action star. Men in black, Wild Wild West Bad boys. He had 3 franchises. The shit is crazy the run he had.

But hearing old rappers is like watching old retired NBA guys play basketball. Something about getting old throws off your timing for rap. Very few old rappers can rap. Probably why Jay-z isn't trying to drop an album. Even Nas lost a step. Black thought still still snipping from 3 but the rest of these old dudes rap like they are old.
You don’t watch old heads on the court for their athleticism. You watch them for the fundamentals. You watch them because before this moment their greatness was masked by the athleticism and constant movement. However, Father Time has afforded you to see all the machinations that made them great.

People used to say that Will had his shit written by Rakim. No disrespect, but to me that’s a fucking compliment. I grew up trying to sound like Nas so I listened critically to an Ali Vegas. Sure there’s a brother Up State that could beat Jordan, but he didn’t so history doesn’t engage in that analysis.

Well him and Lil it have something in common; the review sounds exactly like the review of Lil it last album…

Gonna give it a listen. Hip hop is in his bones so I'm happy he always finds his way back to do what he loves. On a personal note, I tried to pitch to Will's production company, and he sent me a line saying it wasn't good for his brand but he thinks I'm funny af and encouraged me to keep going. Will always be grateful for that.
