how is this..when most are vaccinated..brah?

Like in the US, most of the deaths are from people who are unvaccinated or under vaccinated. Those countries have done a better job vaccinating people but they still have anywhere from a third to half that aren't up to date on their boosters.

Add to that how transmissible BA.5 is coupled with an end to restrictions, not mention that it's Europe so their hygiene is suspect.

Couple of documentaries surrounding the early days of COVID.

Checked out Hell of a Cruise yesterday, and previously The Last Cruise in July 2021.

Hell of a Cruise is just under 1.5 hours, and The Last Cruise is just over 40 minutes.

Both showed the assortment of errors made in the first 1/4 of 2020, both at the cruise industry & government levels.

I thought about watching the one on Peacock but realized that it's a little too soon to watch a documentary about something that still isn't really over.

These documentaries will be something to watch a few years from now with a different perspective and some distance from the pandemic.

Agreed. So many more movies and docs to come in the years ahead. Thought they were well done. Showing multiple perpectives and the unaware nature so many people had. How business continued to push forward, etc.

Oh, look. It's the potential problem that we've been talking about for over two years now.

Hopefully, this isn't going to be as bad as it could be. But at this point, a variant that evades vaccines or other forms of immunity will have free run everywhere, mainly because no one will be willing to try and be safe about it.

Because somehow, we learned that breathing down someone's back while standing in a line and coughing into the open air are okay, as long as you believe that you aren't sick. I mean, damn.
