Amazon usually sends out shipped info two days before release. I'm more worried about Amazon delivery drivers leaving my package by the front door with out ringing the bell. Told them to put all packages by the back door, but they rarely do it. I miss UPS lol.

I hear you but luckily I work from home so that day I'll be downstairs jumping up every time I hear the slightest noise near my door lol

Also I'm more concerned that they haven't actually charged me yet over the delivery date. At least then I'd know I bought one even if it were to arrive a day or two late.

What's really irritating is I have Watchdogs:Legion sitting there and I'm itching to play but would rather play it on the Series X.

Exactly.

At this point I'll wait to play on a new system unless the delay is months past launch date on Amazon which I doubt.

I'm assuming worse case scenario if I somehow don't get it on launch day I'll still have my order reserved for the inevitable black Friday/Christmas restock.

I bought it when I first pre-ordered the Series X on Amazon, before they announced that you weren't guaranteed to get your system on launch day whether you ordered one or not.

Had I known I wouldn't have copped it.

But since I'm not guaranteed I've held off on buying the new Assassins Creed and Call of Duty.

Mines shipped from Microsoft.com via Fed Ex but will only be delivered on Nov 10, gonna send it to Walgreens at the corner , 5 years living in a CO-OP all my packages get left at the door for some reason I don't want to chance it still waiting on my Costco order.

Yep, mine shipped yesterday as well for a delivery on the 10th. I'll be watching my security cameras like a hawk since these delivery guys like to deliver and not ring the bell.

If it's UPS intercept it to a UPS store. That's free. Even though the links have people that say it's disabled, as long as you already have a myups account and a history they'll do it. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't do it already if they know what it is. I remember a laptop I ordered last year automatically going to a store instead of being dropped off.

edit: When you get the email from UPS that you have a package coming, immediately log in to intercept. If you wait too long they won't do it.

Also if Amazon themselves are delivering it you can actually track it in real time via the app which will even tell you when the delivery os only a few stops away.

I haven't gotten a UPS delivery from Amazon since the start of the pandemic. All deliveries from Amazon have been from there own drivers. With the smaller items from Amazon, they used a company called Lasership. Some items came via USPS but that slowed down big time.

Bestbuy - Fedex
Walmart - Fedex


The only time I see UPS now is when I buy and item from Monoprice or Newegg.

I totally forgot about LaserShip. Amazon dropped them from around here for their own Flex/Logistics. Otherwise, it's USPS. UPS seems to trigger for me if I ask them to put it all in one box (although they usually won't) or hold to prime package day (which they ignore and deliver when they want to anyway) 3rd parties tend to all be UPS as well.

Man I'm loving this Game Pass, I have it for the next 3 years. Right now I'm playing Forza 7, graphics look highly impressive on this Xbox One X. I will play Doom Eternal when I get through playing this.
