This season was a test to see if the audience would accept the show without Costner. Cole Hauser will likely become the new official "lead" and I see Tyler Perr-..uh Taylor Sheridan vastly expanding his own character's role.

Kinda pissed they killed off the brother...

Really didn't need to
Man I would’ve read the script and said naw I ain’t doing this season. Man has three body including his biological dad and they make him a complete bitch.

Is this show worth watching?

First few seasons were pretty good. The last few seasons not so much (too slow and soap opera-e)

I'd recommend the prequel series though, as both are good on their own / standalone. You don't necessarily have to have seen Yellowstone to appreciate 1883 and 1923. There's just family tie-ins that the long-time fans will enjoy from essentially 100 - 140 years prior to Costner and his family in present day.

* Side note - if none of that interests you ... check out Billy the Kid. It's aired for 2 seasons so far. Small show and it's flown under the radar in recent years. Good tension in that one ... have enjoyed having it in the rotation.

talk about a horrible ending. This season was trash and beth and rip were two of the worse characters ever. They do not deserve their own show. WTF, they just gonna walk around showing everyone how tough and smart they are. beth the baddest bitch in the world, nobody can beat her? FOH. At least Jamie got to beat her ass before he died. Would have been better if he killed her.

How long you been watching Yellowstone? Lol. With John getting killed, you knew it was going to be the "Beth" Show. I'm just glad Kayce came up with the idea instead of having him being a mindless murderer. Good writing there. To your point, if they never did another show (Beth and Rip) that would be perfect. Rip seems to like peace but he married Beth so...you get what you get.

As far as Jaime goes, I wish they cut his body up. I used to feel sorry for him, but he's a "motherbitch" as that dude from Bad Boys would say. :smh:

Season 5, Final Season
Episodes 8 - 14

Started the final episodes of season 5 this morning at home. Been a long time since the first half of the season debuted back in 2022. Debated about rewatching it, but decided to read a synopsis of it too catch up. They also had some good recaps at the start of each episode.

We got flashback on why Rip is loyal to John Dutton and the Yellowstone Ranch. And some preview of Jimmy in the future Yellowstone spinoff series based around the Four 6666’s ranch.

I was surprised they killed John Dutton that early in the season. I went into it thinking it would happen towards the end.

That crazy broad Sarah that has Jaime under her thumb, that bird would get furiously Fucked with her always running around with “Fuck Me” bra/panties. HaHa!!! That hit on her was predictable but still shocking.

Actress Kelly Reilly basically stole the series with her acting/portrayal of Beth. She is no denying the best character of the series.

The brotha Colby went out protecting that damn hard headed kid. Big Loss. I had been curious on why he was on the ranch. I always assumed he was a descendant of the brotha Thomas from “1883” who was a guide for the Duttons.

Taylor Sheridan returns as Travis for the final season. His character is pure comedy from what we saw of him in earlier seasons. Pretty wild and crazy on how much money there is in the horse business.

The series did a good job closing out the future of the Yellowstone Ranch. There is a follow up series starring Matthew McConaughey. No word if characters from this series will carry on to the follow up series.

Overall, it was a decent series. It was basically a “Soap Opera” for men.

Looking forward to the new seasons of “1883” and “1923”.
