At first I was thinking this was going to end up like Event horizon.... I’m glad that they threw out different shit while also adding bits of personality to each character. Gugu and the dude who played her Husband hit this out of the park

I didn’t realize that the clover field movies were connected until I read abt this 3rd one
I remember seeing the first one and being awed at all the military weapons being used but at the same time stunned bc none of them worked.
They are connected but not connected at the same time...
This movie makes a lot of sense when you think about the first two movies but it also adds some questions that I can’t wait to talk about. Anybody saying this movie is trash is crazy. Movie is tight.... but to say anything about it spoils it. I’m going to give Kats a day before I go full discussion on my interpretation of the ending and why I DONT Think that thing at the end was related to Cloverfield 1.
Folks also need to know that the Cloverfield franchise is more like an Anthology series like American Horror Story and a true connected franchise per se. Once you get that one.... then you will understand how these movies will relate to the 4th movie that’s also coming out this year... Titled Overland “it’s probably changing names”..
And let’s take a moment to reflect that in February in 2018 ... Two Black men directed two big science fiction/superhero movies. Black people are almost never hired on these flicks. I honestly can’t remember the last big Scifi franchise that had a black director and in Black History month we get two.
Niggas need to go and thumbs up this movie on Netflix..... so we can get more opportunities like this.
