This was an OK movie. Good Netflix movie, if I had paid money at the theater, I would have been disappointed.
I thought it was more sci-fi than supernatural. The oddities were explained as the clash between dimensions and rip in the time space continuum.
This movie was fuckin shit. Convenient explanations. Nonsensical plot. Stupid reactions. You lose your fuckin arm and THAT’S how you react? Stopped watch this fuckry at the 74 min mark.

I think that it indeed was an average type of sci-fi movie like this, life, original alien a few others. I do think there is a creativity though in taking something and figuring out how to make it connect to that cloverfield original in a new way which is better than a lot of sequels. It also probably makes the film better because in general the flaws that you see there were already there to begin with. I also think that with the alien series and Life they had to do something different to make it it's own thing in a crowded field. They also made something they can always create a market for because we don't know what other crazy things they caused with the experiments.
Actually this movie was created and was not a clover field movie from what I heard.. This was a separate entity that got brought by a company and got the name clover field stamped on it.. Added with a few shoots and the clover field name stamped on it

It had promise but failed.. I still can't get over how dude was running around town looking for his ex girl he hadn't fucked in yrs and when his bro gets killed he had zero emotions and was like hey still got to go look for my ex who I haven't seen in yrs... Fuck that pussywhipped monster movie Jus's off that shit alone

The only reason why I think things occurred in different timelines and in another universe is the technology used in part 3. None of that tech was used in cloverfield one plus the world wasn’t at that stage of an energy crisis. The kids in Cloverfied were partying.
Dude basically Said in the news clip that the god particle could open rifts in space and in time. Meaning an event could occurr at one moment in one time and on one level of existence while simultaneously occurring on different levels in another universe. I think similar events happened but at different times.

Part 3 is suppose to take place in 2028.. The headline for the movie is something like the future can destroy our past or some shit like that... This movie takes place in the future and its the reason why everything goes to shit.. The 3 movies suppose to be 3 diff timelines and possibly 3 diff dimensions.. The 4th movie suppose to take place during ww2
The truth is the 2,3, and 4 movies are 3 movies that have nothing to do with clover field but somebody bought the rights to all 3 films and did reshoots to make a connection with each other.. That's why none of it makes sense cause it wasn't real cloverfield movies to begin with

Pretty much.. They actually had a real idea in the beginning but I think either the person who wrote it hasn't wrote another script or fell back, who knows... Jus's know they trying to capitalize off the name alone and than throwing in lil extra shoots to make them seem all connected... It hands down 1 of the laziest things Hollywood has ever done... Sad thing the more new movies they release the more it goes off the source material.. I think next 1 is in ww2 Germany.. I think zombies or something is in this 1..smh
I enjoyed it but a lot of questions. So was the ship haunted too? Why did the ship get Mundy like that and Tam? Volk was hearing voices and then the worms? The arm? Why did the dimension jump make all that spooky shit happen? There was a lot more that needed explanation than we are in another dimension. Then wanna throw the monsters in on top of it all.

This wasn't a real clover field movie.. Some weird stand alone sci fi movie called god particle.. Without the clover field stamp this movie is pretty pointless and kinda stupid.. With the stamp you suppose to be like oh this is how everything got started.. The beam started a multi- verse with aliens, monsters, paranormal, diff time sequences.. So forget about how the clover field monster got woken up by a drilling company it was the multi- universe beam..yep smh

If they are going to continue to pump out films in this franchise, they need to tighten up the scripts. You have no idea of the timeline of the films throughout all three and now the whole alt universe thing is something else to add confusion.
yea this movie was really the first movie then cloverfield followed by 10 cloverfield lane.i loved the movie because its setting up the final movie with nothing but monsters.
