And this is part of why the "elections are being stolen" narrative keeps finding footing. These people think that they should have a chance, and then they get results contrary to that.
It's funny, because Republicans are the only ones selling that narrative. When Trump won is 2016, I didn't think it was a scam or a steal. I just figured there were more racists, bigots, and people fine with letting others be racists and bigots than I had previously realized.
Ironically, Trump himself said the 2016 election was a scam. He said 3 million people voted illegally to give Hillary the popular vote. Of course he declined to investigate any further.

Maybe they could make social security a state’s issue. Wouldn’t that be nice? Imagine living in Flint, Michigan and depending on Lansing for your check. Imagine living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and waiting on Harrisburg to cut a check. Imagine being from Jackson, Mississippi and waiting for folks down the street to cut a check.
The illegals in California trope didn’t work so he went back to the classics of voters in black cities. That worked.
