Alot of cats definitely have that "don't give a fuck" mentality built in over time.
One of the most recent examples was this past summer. Visited my aunt & went and sat in the backyard later that evening to chill on the lower patio. Her cat came outside and spotted a few raccoons along the back fence near the carport. Street-smart animals that aren't afraid of humans and make their way around the city. I've seen them looking both ways as they cross major roads and intersections. That kind of smart, lol. Anyway ... cat walks outside ... immediately spots them and races out and challenges them.
