Nobody had a conversation with Belichick last season either other than the Falcons. What would a conversation with Belichick do if chances are that you aren't going to hire him? Considering that Belichick would want control beyond just being the coach he wasn't likely to be hired. He took the UNC job and brought his boy Michael Lombardi with him there to be the GM. Lombardi the guy who called the Montez Sweat trade idiotic yet during his career traded Randy Moss to the Patriots for a 4th round pick.
Harbaugh may have been interested and apparently he and Warren have a sorted history. But he's not taking the Bears job if the Chargers job is also his to take.
As for ownership the team could use better owners but that can be said about every team in Chicago. And we'd have to see if Bezos would be a good owner who would be willing to spend money but also stay out of the way.
At the end of the day we're going to have our disagreements but we all want to see the team become a legit contender like they were for years in the 80's and I don't think that any of us give 2 fucks how they do it as long as they do it.
We can agree to disagree with the Harbaugh stuff and at this point it doesn't even matter. With Belichick all I was saying was at least have a conversation, you don't have to hire him but that's also mute at this point as well. I can't take this constant losing, it's beyond ridiculous for the founding franchise to be this bad at football. If they mess this up with Caleb, we are doomed forever.. Smh lol! The fact is all Chicago sports teams suck right now, the Cubs and Sox haven't done anything all. The Bulls are stuck in basketball hell smh! The Bears have to get this coaching hire right.
