I hate OSU too but your record based on wins and losses HAS to be the first determining factor, otherwise what's the point of playing games?
yes win/losses a determining factor but now it comes down to detail. point spread, road games vs home games, how you playing at the end of the season. full body of work. i can see the case for either so i wouldn't be upset if bama didn't make it

I think it'll be OSU too but I'm rooting hard for TCU to beat the breaks out of K-State. I don't want to see no chaos
Bama is still bama though and will draw eyes, but i think OSU gets in. Unless we have more chaos today and I'm here for it.

But the comparison was being made that O State had "quality" wins. They don't.

Don't look now but KState is up two scores on TCU in the 3rd quarter...I dont think LSU can beat UGA and I can't cheer for brian kelly, but if they come out here and win, then all hell about to break lose

sec comp vs big 12 comp. 3 different teams in SEC were rank no 1 this year. bama beat ole miss when they were ranked 9, miss state was ranked 13, and Texas was 20. Big 12 is not a power conference they dont hold water
.. way to much goalpost moving when folks try to break down about all these permutations though. If the records were identical it would make more sense to do so, but you start with record straight-away no matter what.
I'm about 99% sure that a 2 loss Bama team is not getting in over a 1 loss OSU or TCU this year. That's just what it's looking like in reality.
Ohio St and TCU have much better resume's than Alabama. I hate OSU but they have beaten 8 Penn St, Conf Champ Toledo and 21 Notre Dame. TCU has beaten (and lost to) 10 K. State and 20 Texas plus they only have one loss. Alabama has no quality wins other than Texas
