Obvious holes on the roster, a shitload of injuries and questionable coaching on the biggest things. Hell even though the team ended last season on a losing streak most of those losses were 1 possession games and Fields played the best football of his professional career and a good portion of what the ran particularly the read option stuff hasn't been used this season.

College, Ohio State had the best fuckin players on the field and the QB's had huge windows and 5 star WR's to throw to.
Here’s the franchise’s best hope, long term.
1) Virginia McClaskey finally buys the farm.
2) The team is split in pieces and, after the eventual in-fighting amongst the kids, who’ve been waiting at least 20-25 years for her to croak so they can do what they want with their share of the franchise, it gets sold to someone who a) wants to win at all costs and b) has significant business interests and therefore money outside of a single NFL franchise (currently the Bears ARE the McCaskey fortune).
3) The move out of Soldier Field goes forward, fuck Chicago politics and optics, they need to be able to generate money from their building like many other modern NFL franchises.
It ain’t even 5p ET on 9/20 and we’ve already waived the white flag on 2023.

There's no shame in running with the ball when the pocket is collapsing, Patrick Mahomes does it, Josh Allen does it, as well as Lamar Jackson, Deshaun Watson, Dak Prescott and many others.
It's better to run for yardage than standing still like a statue or moving backwards for a loss .

They also cut Trevis Gipson cause Terrell Lewis beat him out and then cut Lewis days later to sign some other edge who hasn't done shit in the NFL

Yea they're gonna have to get creative and hope guys step up. I'm glad Carter is finally getting some snaps though. Honestly Im all for any situation to not have Whitehair AND Patrick in the same line at the same time. This staff claims that they are 2 of our best 5 but all I see is them constantly getting pushed back and bullied. They too old and never 100%.
