While many people have protestedSweden’s ongoing detainment of A$AP Rocky on social media (including President Donald Trump), one woman took the #FreeRocky hashtag off Twitter and to the Swedish Embassy in Washington D.C.

According to Billboard, Rebecca Kanter was arrested last Tuesday for causing a commotion at the embassy. Katner allegedly kicked over furniture, screamed at staff, and threatening to “blow this motherfucker up.” The day before she was arrested, she allegedly doused the embassy’s door with liquid out of a Coca-Cola bottle and posted about the event on social media. She was charged on two counts of unlawful entry and for willfully damaging property of a foreign government.

A$AP Rocky has been imprisoned in Sweden since he was arrested on July 3. Last week, the rapper was formally charged with assault. If he is found guilty, he could spend up to two years in jail or pay a hefty fine. He and two of his friends who were also arrested are expected to face trial soon.

It is no fun being held hostage/detained by a country, speaking from my own experience. You want nothing to do with that country and want to leave.

It does not help that the U.S. sends fools into their country stirring up trouble.

Why was he dealing with a peon. I could see if it was another rapper approaching him like that.

You will lose everytime engaging in peon warfare. He should have checked that fool on his status.

The minute you acknowledge them in any way that is when you lose. Look the other way, look at your phone while your body guard engages them. By acknowledging their presence it just adds fuel to the fire.

When you are in a public place there is limited options to get rid of somebody. Going into a business would force them to get involved and issue a trespassing warning. Hiring off duty cops to escort is your best option if you have to go out in public.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) — RZA (RIHZ’-uh) of the Wu-Tang Clan says he’s concerned over what he calls a hostage situation for fellow rapper A$AP Rocky, who’s charged with assault in Sweden.

RZA told The Associated Press at an event Friday promoting the Hulu drama series “Wu-Tang: An American Saga” that he doesn’t condone violence, but celebrities have to protect themselves, and Rocky is not dangerous or a criminal.

He says he’s “disappointed in Sweden” and “disappointed that a judge cannot discern that this is not a man you hold hostage.”

Swedish prosecutors say Rocky and two others attacked a man there. Rocky says he acted in self-defense. He’s been in custody since July 3.

President Donald Trump has also spoken out against Rocky’s detention.

RZA says if Trump helped, “that’d be a beautiful thing.”

A$AP Rocky has pleaded not guilty to assault as his high profile trial begins in Sweden.

The 30-year-old rapper, née Rakim Mayers, appeared in court on Tuesday after he was arrested in Stockholm following a street altercation involving a 19-year-old man named Mustafa Jafari.

On Thursday, Stockholm public prosecutor Daniel Suneson announced that Rocky will be tried for “assault causing actual bodily harm.”

Two other members of Rocky’s entourage, who are also facing assault charges, pleaded not guilty.

During the first day of the trial, Suneson showed the courtroom footage of the incident, which occurred on June 30, from security cameras and witnesses’ iPhones, NBC News reported.

He alleged that Rocky threw Jafari on the ground before he and the two members of his crew beat him while he was down, NBC News and CBS Newsreported. Jafari also took the stand, stating, “I was shocked that he took me by the neck and lifted me up.”

“I tried to hit him, but my [punches] did not land,” Jafari said according to NBC News. He went on to allege that he was also hit over the back with a bottle, however, the defense says there is no evidence to prove that happened.

Jafari is seeking 139,00 Swedish crowns — which is around $14,500 — in damages.

Rocky’s defense team will present their evidence as well as his account of the altercation on Thursday. A verdict is expected to be reached by Friday, the outlet reported.

If convicted, Rocky and his entourage could face two years in jail.

Speaking to PEOPLE from his office in Stockholm on Thursday, Suneson said, “Assault causing actual bodily harm can give up to two years of imprisonment. In this case, it’s not going to be on that level, however.”

Rocky’s lawyer Slobodan Jovicic stressed to the court on Tuesday that his client did not commit any crimes and explained he was only acting in self defense, CNN reported.

“Please bear in mind that A$AP Rocky is an international, very well-known artist,” Jovicic told the court, according to CNN. He added that Rocky is used to being approached, but in this case, he acted out of fear.

Jovicic did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Rocky previously detailed the events leading up to the arrest to his 10.2 million Instagram followers.

The first video the artist shared to his social media platform showed what appeared to be the beginning of the street incident that later led to the arrests.

In the footage, A$AP Rocky and his entourage are approached by two young men on the street when an argument between the groups breaks out. One person from the rapper’s crew, whom the rapper later claimed was his bodyguard, can be heard telling the two men to “go that way — you following us” and another person can be heard saying, “Nobody wants to fight with you bro.”

Rocky explained the incident in the caption of the video.

“So a few drug addicts are not my fans,” he claimed. “We don’t know these guys and we didn’t want trouble, they followed us for 4 blocks, and they were slapping girls butts who passed, give me a break.”

Rocky has spent nearly a month in prison since his arrest on July 2. His case has gained national attention with President Donald Trump previously announcing his plans to call the prime minister of Sweden to help release Rocky from jail.

Trump, 73, Kim Kardashian West, had used their connections to the White House to appeal to Trump amid Rocky’s arrest and legal investigation in Sweden.

The source said that Kim, 38, recently reached out to the president’s son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, on behalf of her and her husband.

“She really brought it to the forefront,” the source said. Kim had developed a relationship with Kushner due to her previous work with the White House on criminal justice reform.

Last week, Trump voiced his all-caps dismay at being unable to persuade Swedish authorities to drop the assault charges against Rocky.

Very disappointed in Prime Minister Stefan Löfven for being unable to act. Sweden has let our African American Community down in the United States. I watched the tapes of A$AP Rocky, and he was being followed and harassed by troublemakers. Treat Americans fairly! #FreeRocky

A source previously told PEOPLE that Rocky had been held in “inhumane” and “horrific” conditions in Sweden, though officials disputed this. (TMZ first reported the news.)

“Rocky is now being detained for an unknown period of time until they have a trial and he is having his legal and basic human rights ignored while being forced to live in inhumane conditions — all for acting in self-defense,” the source claimed at the time.

It is the government job to monitor situations like this and keep these fools away from you. If they refuse, it will turn deadly. This is how shit can turn into a murder.

Just relentlessly pursuing somebody in public will lead to violent acts. I am dealing with these feebleminded schemes now, it is a waste of my time dealing with them.

On July 30, Rocky’s trial for assault began in Sweden. He plead not guilty in Stockholm District Court where his mother was present, according to CBS News. Per CBS, the court has also set aside Thursday and Friday for the case, but it’s unclear if the trial will go the full three days. Rocky’s lawyer, Martin Persson, reportedly told Swedish press on Monday that he plans to dispute the prosecutor’s claim that Rocky and the two associates also charged in the alleged attack struck Jafari with a bottle by presenting new evidence that allegedly shows “no bottle has been used to hit or injure anyone” and that the violence used was “within the limits of the law.” Jafari’s lawyer has maintained that he didn’t provoke the assault and that it was incited by Rocky’s bodyguard when he allegedly “grabbed [Jafari] by the neck and dragged him away.” The bodyguard has not been charged.

Both Rocky and his accuser, Mustafa Jafari, took the stand on day two of the trial on August 1. Jafari reportedly testified that he was looking for his friend when he approached Rocky and his team on the street, and claims he was unaware of Rocky’s celebrity. He alleged that Rocky and his associates attacked him and that “some had bottles,” which Rocky’s lawyer has disputed. In his testimony, Rocky said that he and his team were downloading an app to ride scooters around Stockholm when “two men approached his security guard.” After doing so a second time, Rocky says, the bodyguard instructed the two men to “move away and pushed them away.” Rocky claims that’s when Jafari struck the bodyguard with a pair of headphones. “At this point, everything seemed strange. It got a little scary for us,” he reportedly testified. He continued, “We didn’t want to provoke these guys, we just wanted to get away from them … We didn’t want no problems … Jafari was persistent: ‘Come on, come on.’”

Rocky said that he believed the two men to be on drugs at the time of the incident, and that his bodyguard followed protocol to protect him, including lifting Jafari by his neck to keep him away from Rocky but that his bodyguard did not “beat” Jafari. As for his own role in the alleged assault, Rocky reportedly said he “threw Jafari to the ground,” “shoved” him, and punched Jafari in the arm. Regarding the allegation that a bottle was violently used against Jafari, Rocky testified that he did “momentarily” pick up a bottle but then put it down realizing it was “stupid” to be holding it. Rocky said he asked women nearby to call the police because he and his team didn’t have the local number, and also tried to order an Uber but was unsuccessful. Rocky testified that, upon eventually making it back to his hotel, he decided not to press charges against the men because he didn’t want more attention on the incident or to disrupt his tour.

After some back and forth about text messages between Rocky’s associates about the alleged fight — Rocky testified he wasn’t a part of the texts — he gave his closing statement to the court asking to be acquitted.

Rocky said he isn’t looking for compensation if found not guilty: “What I want is justice. I want my name to be cleared,” he said. “Justice for all of us.”
