It happens every other year, but as I keep telling you guys, this was worse because of the winds was more powerful than usual. It is extremely dry in southern California with very low humidity. The fires was just acting like a blow torch because of the wind speed. V
From Wikipedia (and I checked the source material, before someone gaslights). The bold and underline is mine.

"Santa Ana winds are known for the hot, dry weather that they bring in autumn (often the hottest of the year), but they can also arise at other times of the year.[3] They often bring the lowest relative humidities of the year to coastal Southern California, and "beautifully clear skies".[4] These low humidities, combined with the warm, compressionally-heated air mass, plus high wind speeds, create critical fire weather conditions, and fan destructive wildfires.[4]

Typically, about 10 to 25 Santa Ana wind events occur annually.[5] A Santa Ana wind can blow from one to seven days, with an average wind event lasting three days.[6] The longest recorded Santa Ana event was a 14-day wind in November 1957.[5] Damage from high winds is most common along the Santa Ana River basin in Orange County, the Santa Clara River basin in Ventura and Los Angeles County, through Newhall Pass into the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles County, and through the Cajon Pass into San Bernardino County near San Bernardino, Fontana, and Chino.[6]

Huh?

What does believing in climate change have to do with being feminine?

That said, once this ends the city and state will spend millions investigating everything that went wrong. You and I are not equipped to come to that conclusion on our own. All we can do is speculate.
Don't agree at all. This has been predicted for years. YEARS. Most recently, about 6 months ago, Joe Rogan was speaking with an LA firefighter who was talking about just this. Trump and others were being critical about preparation in 2018, six years ago. And believing in climate change is a meaningless phrase, as I don't see many saying that the climate isn't changing, but how and why. Climate change has become a religious belief among many influential people, and is used as a god of the gaps. I strongly believe that this is being bandied about to deflect from the clear failure of preparation. Also, I predict that at least one of the fires were set intentionally, as many of the recent fires have been.

Just tryna survive...

This has all happened in 72 hours. Just think about that.
I wondered if these fires were intentionally set. Probably terrorists/former soldiers like the Tesla truck guy and the Bourbon Street driver.
Man, with these gotdamn hurrican winds. Man, doesn't have the ability to that kind of damage on that type of terrain, not to nature.

Then flames are hellfire size flames, My Guy.

I heard insurance not even covering a lot of this shit, is that true?
No. Insurance companies dropped specific areas that, if you built there or purchased there after, THAT specific company isn’t liable. Other companies pulled out years ago; but those homeowners got notices. They either raised you coverage very high or dropped you. If the law didn’t allow them to drop en mass, they added out clauses your ass better had read.

Yeah, that too. It’s going to be a mess for a while.

It’s a huge wake up call for real.

Damn, that’s wild. And some people probably don’t even have insurance. Shitty situation all around.
One more thing that happens with these cash rich people.

They under insure their homes/cars because they feel that they have enough cash to cover damages that might happen.

A lot of times, they don't account for catastrophic damage like this.

We had a guy with a 7 million dollar home. He only insured his house for a million dollars!!

There was a wildfire a few years ago that wiped out his home to the slab.

Dude still owed about 4 million on the home. He completely fucked his self. He was trying to get us to give him the million dollars.

We would not endorse the check. The bank is almost always included on insurance checks for your home. We made him send us the insurance check and that insurance money went towards his unpaid balance.

He was still short over 3 million though.

Not sure how the rest will play out for him, but the bank will be coming after him for the rest of that balance at some point!

Lisa Guerrero's house probably got looted just like everyone else's i bet

WOW!!! She got super lucky! Housing values will plummet for now, but I'm sure if people hang on, the values will rebound.

Always people that will rebuild in that same area even knowing the risks.

Just look at people in hard hit areas in Louisiana and Florida. They just keep rebuilding in the same gotdamn spot even though they get flooded out over and over.

LOS ANGELES (KTLA) – Firefighters are racing to contain a new wildfire that has erupted close to homes in the area of Calabasas and Hidden Hills, northwest of Los Angeles, on Thursday afternoon.

The Kenneth Fire was first reported around 2:30 p.m. in an area of dry brush in the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Preserve, north of the 101 Freeway.

The fire was estimated to be 50 acres and growing rapidly at 3:45 p.m., and homes were imminently threatened.

Sky5 footage showed flames encroaching on multi-million dollar homes with pools and tennis courts in their backyards.

The Los Angeles Fire Department has issued a mandatory evacuation order for Vanowen Street south to Burbank Boulevard, County Lane Road east to East Valley Circle Boulevard.

Sky5 footage showed helicopters dropping retardant around the fire’s perimeter and fixed-wing aircraft dumping water to protect homes.

Smoke was billowing across the 101 Freeway.

This latest fire has emerged as crews struggle to contain two other significant wildfires that have destroyed several thousand structures in the Los Angeles metro area: the 17,000-acre Palisades Fire in Pacific Palisades and Malibu and the Eaton Fire in Altadena and Pasadena.

That’s where the Kardashian’s live.

We gotta send in the military and evacuate them ASAP!!!
