Well I'd separate myself from that shit too. This shit was Lush One's event not Organik's so I could understand him wanting to separate himself from it.

Yeah, when there's an event Organik is RUNNING, it goes well, so the association with his friend and business collaborator shouldn't always include him on shit he ain't controlling

He's been giving the event props - he's just
Saying don't hit him up for refunds and shit. That's all. That makes sense if no money is coming to him.

According to Danny Myers he gave it to Cass 2-1.

I trust Danny but I still have to hear it myself. Everything I read that people tweeted from Cas was terrible.

You think it was a Close 3-0 or a Body?

come tomorrow everybody will call it a bodybag because of how bad Diz did. I don't think it's a bodybag because Cass went into a few mixtape type lines. 3-0 Clearly whether it's a body or not is the only thing debatable.

Cass ready for the URL Stage..

I beg to differ. He won but this was in a closed setting. On that stage last night he was acting like a straight bitch and that crowd has nothing on a URL crowd that'll boo at the drop of a dime. He supposedly signed on for 2 battles. Hopefully he'll do better on a stage next time.

Exactly. He dodged a bullet last night. This just drags out the inevitable

Cass beat Diz.

He better not battle Arsonal.

After seeing this battle and the Joe Budden battle...

...it is clear that battle rappers are held to a much higher standard.

A battler would have to KILL one of these industry dudes to truly get the win.

For instance, people say Joe Budden almost beat Hollow...

...but no battle rapper can use Joe Budden's delivery, and stationary approach and not get boo'd out of the fucking building.

I think Cass won...

...but with the exception of his Dizz imitation, he was unimpressive relative to other battle rappers. He did have a few hot lines, tho'. He did better than Budden. Easily.

Too basic, for the most part, tho'.

I always thought Dizaster was corny, tho'.

If Cassidy steps his pen game up, he could be a 'regular'. He'll make more money than he makes from battling than music at this point. lol.

Yeah any battle rapper who stepped in the ring with that shit Cas is doin would be laughed out the parking garage lol

He set it up good with that shit performance on stage. Expectations came in even lower.

I had a feeling Diz was fucking up when he said he out wrote eminem for Cas THREE days before the battle I'm like dude you should've already been done with your shit months ago. Then he started tweeting about talking to AR ab the day before- told me he was looking to try an angle

The angle was actually some real shit , but for some reason no one wanted to hear it.

But also if you're gonna use angles and expose someone you have to slow shit down and tell the listeners wtf it's about.

A good no. of fans look up to industry rappers. That's why industry dudes, who haven't even had a hit in this decade, can get more money than even the "super top-tier" battlers.

Battlers are still seen as dusty niggas, battling on the street...

...which is why people are upset when they ask for a lot of dough, but not these industry dudes.

Its also why fans lower the bar for them. They WANT these guys to be successful against battle rappers.

They may want the industry nigga to win but these battlers aint biting these niggas heads off either. That was the worst i can remember seeing Hollow when he battled Joe Budden, far as Dizaster im kinda biased caused he always sucked to me but ive seen him way better than he was against Cass. Until one of these battlers have some pride and actually kill one of these industry dudes they gone keep jumping in there and get way more money than them.

They are lowering the bar for them.

Dude, think about how J. Budden rapped. That slow ass delivery, all stationary.

WHO could get away with that as a battler? If you're going to lower the bar, then that means Hollow has to be MORE than what he is to create some distance between them.

I thought Hollow did what he always do...

...but, for instance, if Loaded Lux got up there against HOllow and did what Joe Budden, they would have run that nigga out of battle rap forever.

On the flip, many feel Joe was WINNING until he put down the mic.

Shit ain't fair.

yo diz look skied up tho??

and he look bewildered by the third round..

that was actually a knockout by cassidy.....

Diz is cooooorny.

Sure, he can freestyle...

...but his style is all hype.

Anybody who has to do all of that is try to mask that the fact that they don't really have bars like that.

I tried to watch it all, but only got halfway. It was a wack battle, to me. Cassidy's voice reminds me of a robot or some shit...that lame ass 1995 flow didn't impress me at all...
I'll watch it one more time with an open mind but he needs to take the money and run and dont come back against the top tier battlers

It's funny how there has been a swing in perspective. It used to be that the guy who was signed was known to have put it down and you expected him to be the best. In order to get a deal you would have had to probably won some battles.

Then battle rap came out of a surplus of guys who had won battles but couldn't get a deal for whatever reason. Now you got a bunch of guys who are stuck in that format. Since people wanted to see it, plus the fact that lyricism isn't respected in the mainstream now, the pendulum swung to the idea that the lyricists were in battle rap.

Then battle rap got in its own bubble, and the references became so inside that unless you're a battle rap fan you don't know wtf they're talking about. Add to that, the stages got bigger so once again, other qualities beyond lyrics became important.

Now people expect the battle rapper to be 10 times better than the recording artist when it used to be the other way around lol. If he isn't, the recording artist wins.

Diz fucked up by trying to do too much. He should've just gave Cas bars. He can't handle pressure like that though.

In a way it's cool this happened because the people who should be seen as great are people who can write bars like the guys in slaughterhouse can. Joe burdens should've performed in battling just like he does on a record

I have a feeling they going to try and get

cass to battle charron... or conceited next...

then Arsenal or Clips..

see how they had to bring that shit back to its roots, to really

have it shine..

sometimes throwing money at things makes it worse....
