but mass mess wont be able to compete with the delivery and stage presence of most of them..

lyrics alone he won this battle, but when you factor in delivery and stage presence he took a clear loss...

nevertheless still like dude....

would love to see him go up against that charron and that real deal dude..

wow, Chess is really advanced to be so young on the mental shit. He's got to learn to get to punches maybe quicker, or really, do like he did in his 3rd. The punches took a second, but they were MASSIVE.

I think the longer you wind up, the harder your close should be. I still think that back and forth, hand waving flow that makes them stall words to make flips kinda corny, but he didn't use it as much.

T Top is just drug and gun talk, but he's believable and he paints VIVID pictures.

Someone is gonna pick that ONE flow he has apart soon. It might be Brizz.

Overall I like UFF.

They were supposed to battle...
- On UFF / BET (Will's opponent got switched to Danja Zone)
- On the URL Main Stage (but according to Real Deal, the battle was cancelled before it was officially announced)
- At KOTD Blackout 4 in January (Will Cancelled. Probably because of Smack)
- At KOTD Vendetta 2 in March (Will Cancelled Again. Probably because of Smack)



And while all this is going on.... Smack wants guys to sign 'exclusive contracts'... so basically they can't make no money on KOTD, or anywhere else... if they want to battle on URL.

Meanwhile they better hope that Smack don't "give 'em a Cortez" treatment... and lock their BEST PERFORMANCES in the 'Vault'.

Guys like Ill Will, Aye Verb & Arsonal (who run their own battle leagues / or travel around alot) probably would not want to sign any 'exclusive contracts' and limit their income to battling just ONCE a year, on URL.

Smack really expecting folks to sign 'exclusive contracts'.... in exchange for JUST ONE BATTLE PER YEAR (if they are lucky).

They have two of the biggest evrent of the year for surer, but a lot of the battles of the year do not come from them.

All they have is UFF, which is nice, but after that, they have those two events. If you didn't win the 10k from UFF then you're sitting around waiting on battles- and your name fades.

Batllers have to be allowed to move around the world and get SEASONED. I was hoping the URL contract thing was good, but it aint. They need to let that shit go.

URL is great (the best actually) but the thing that makes it great also limits the type of rapper who can be on there. They can't service the other styles that people do want to see. There's room for other styles and platforms. Shit, even MMA has bellator and other leagues out there. Once url really establishes themselves then they can have contracts.

It would be interesting if they decided to do a grind time type aspect of their league as well to really capture all that market. A merger with kotd kind of thing.

I get what is being said about URL making guys bigger by being on their platform but the way there league is set up that's not completely true. Bigg K and Danny Myers are 2 examples of guys who are bigger because they've not been messing with the URL. K has battled Myers, B Magic, Illmac, Thesaurus, Conceited and Arsonal in the last year with a battle with Ill Will coming next year. If he was with the URL at best he may be on the way to battling Ill Will. Myers has had K, JC, Hearless, Aye Verb, Cortez in the last year along with a cancelled battle with Math and he damn sure wouldn't have battled the battles with Verb or Math if he was under the URL umbrella.

The URL started the contracts with season 2 of the UFF. Are any of those guys besides Myers who didn't sign any bigger now than they were then? Even Ah Di who signed got Verb and Goodz away from the URL and all he got while under contract was a Warm Up battle that hasn't been released and a battle with JC cancelled because of the URL. They don't show much loyalty to battlers so why should battlers show loyalty to them especially when they don't respect that loyalty.

Most of the emcees have 'no clue' who they are battling beforehand... so any combo can happen.

But they always have (1) 'Mystery Battle' that is completely unannounced upfront...

So if KOTD announces a 'Pat Stay vs Charron' matchup in advance, as (1) of the 'Main Event' battles...

Then I predict that 'Mystery Battle' will be ... Drake vs Mook

And it will be the 'industry matchup' that everyone has been waiting for... that could be a 'game changer' for battle rap (in general) which folks will talk about for a looong time.

(Translation: Drake will SHOCK THE SHIT OUTTA EVERYONE with the level of bars, showmanship, delivery, punchlines & rebuttals that folks thought Canibus, Joe Budden or Cassidy would bring to the game. )

Otherwise... 'Pat Stay vs Charron' will most likely be the 'Mystery Battle' of the night.
