I gave it to Iron first. Then I kinda evened it out. Day was great but VERY short in the 2nd.

Iron should definitely keep battling over there are kotd. He's got more in him and he can make some good money this year if he picks up a few more battles. I say he should even go for the chain.

Anybody getting SM5 on PPV Saturday? They decided to keep 2 battles on the card, Official vs Ms. Hustle and Mr. Wavy vs John John da Don off of the PPV stream though so you have to wait for it to drop on Youtube to see it.

And the shine/DNA battle was
Dope. 40 and Bonnie had bars but didn't have the same chemistry NWX Has. I like the 2 on 2 joints

Never saw that Math vs Hitman before. Math killed that dude in his own city even with the crowd cowing him down. They should inform battlers that the tape is more important than the live ish and drama in the venue, continue rapping and the footage will speak for itself.

Daylyt is too versatile for these cats, even the so-called wordsmiths. He has a solid rap style he can fall back on that most battle rappers can't pass. His 3rd round is phenomenal, seems like everybody is searching for that Lux vs Calicoe 3rd or maybe it's a trend to have the last thing someone hears from you be positive. Daylyt 3-0 - all that inside shit about how the other dude raps and the booking fee is stupid and Solomon lost because he stayed on that subject too long.

Better sound would have given Bonnie and 40 an edge. 40 is very articulate but too quiet, an experienced artist and sound engineer would have recognized that. The boys went to the gutter with the usual chauvinistic, misogynistic diss lyrics but they added their usual clever coordinated schemes so I guess it was ok. 2-1 to NWX. NWX won the 1st and 3rd. The ladies took the second, and even though the subject matter was repetitive, they remixed their first round cleverly. I thought NWX second round was lazy and forced by shouting bars and over selling, DNA let Shine off the hook in the second round - heh, they unsuccessfully repurposed a tactic another duo used on them.

I had it 3-0 Solomon. Day did his thing (he was better vs. Clips), but Solomon had his best performance ever that night. The layoff from that Mook battle seemed to do him some good. Day looked defeated too, especially when he let Iron finish his verse. It as like he was saying "sure, you can keep cooking me" lol. As good as Iron was that night, I doubt he'd be able to transition it to a Smack arena.

He does that flow like he's rapping to a beat too much. Them assholes in the URL audience ain't into that and they feel it's their job to tell you that lol.

-Suge vs Big T might be the battle of the night
-Calico edged out Tay Rock
-Lux vs Clips...same ole Charlie. Supposedly he didn't have a written for the third, tried to freestyle his way through it like he always does. Supposedly whatever Lux said to him in the third fucked his head up. Lux 2-1 :confused:

3rd round... that old version of Lux (who broke down Calico 3 years ago) showed up :yes:... but Smack shut him down. :hmm:

During his BEST round... Smack cuts Lux short.... but lets Clips rap forever. :rolleyes:

I like Clips, but Lux got em in this one.
Charlie started off crazy strong.. but those 'papers' made him feel some type of way in the 3rd.. and he ended up freestyling/rebuttling most of that round.

He got flustered. Because his BEST T-Rex bars came back to haunt him.
Never seen him like that before. :smh:

2-1 Loaded Lux wins.

Round 1 - Clips (Lux spit for 6 minutes. Clips spit for about 8 minutes)
Round 2 - Lux (Lux spit for just under 6 minutes. Clips spit for 7-8 minutes)
Round 3 - Lux (Lux spit for 6 minutes. Smacks cuts him short.. they argue for like 5 minutes... before he spits an extra 2 minutes.... meanwhile he lets Clips spit for 10 minutes) :smh:

Round 1 & 3 was decisive.
Round 2 Charlie went light & it cost him the battle imo.

Actually much better night than I predicted. Looks like everyone came to play. Props to URL crew.

Didn't see big T vs Suge and don't care lol

Didn't see JJTD vs Wavy and can't wait to see Wavy get roasted lol. Didn't think he deserved to be there

Saw Official vs Hustle... Upset of the night. TOTALLY didn't expect that. It seems like being the favorite for the night is a handicap because expectations are low for the underdog and if they surpass that, the crowd switches. Hated the crowd fickle shit bit being real, Official was terribly underprepared and Hustle fought for her life. She was punching back to back and stayed incredibly composed. Official got a little ahead of herself and couldn't handle it when the crowd wasn't with her. I still think the crowd
Was too harsh but her bars just didn't match up. She lost. Plain and simple. Gotta give it up to Hustle. Good job.

Cal vs Tay was cool. I gain more and more respect for Tay Roc and I guess I'm getting used to his style. Love the way he comes with 3 rounds every time so I can't hate. Not my preference for style but he comes to work so I respect that. Calico, I like to see when he gets to talk that shit in that type of forum. Roc had the bars, Cal has that believability. I won't call a winner. Crowd won. They both came with it.

Lux vs Clips... I say clips 2-1.

I enjoy the aspect that Lux brings and that the crowd actually only accepts from Lux. The long setups that when you wait for him, actually pay off. I do think he's very mortal and now all the mystique is erring off. His angle in the 3rd was extremely I creative and corny to me so I don't care for that at all. Clips gives us Clips, and this time he kept that intensity. I wish he had not even tried to rebuttal Lux dumbass angle in the 3rd but he did. That was whatever. I say Lux lost but he still brings somethin no one else does so he's special just for that. I'll always watch him. He can rap. He should just continue to do what he was doing, but stop the lame personals and being dirty. I dunno. Do somethin. He painted himself in such a box with that Calico thing he doesn't know how to get out of it.

Charlie may be predictable but he's the most well rounded out there. Simple setups that pay of quick, freestyle ability, relatable, funny, aggression when needed, he's the total package.

Clips was just uncomfortable. Shit made me uncomfortable. Only time clips really got a forward was when he got aggressive but he barely did. and that African hat shit was weak just like lux taking off the clothes was weak.

He got punched in St. Louis or some random town like that by some battle rapper who was mad that he lost his position in line to be a PG. a month or two ago, one full year after he lost, norbes came there to host a battle or something and dude and his boys pinned Norbes behind a grill and punched him a few times. Of course Norbes couldn't do shit but they did a radio show laughing about it and how he sometimes deserves to get punched lmao

The story I heard was that dude got a PG and fucked up. He knew that he was in trouble so allegedly he purposely tried to fuck the battle up even more figuring that they wouldn't drop the footage and Norbes did anyway.
It was bound to happen to Norbes at some point. He plays the asshole and talks reckless too often.
