he maybe a good journey men, but the chance he got only comes once in a lifetime...

I wont count him out.. but unless wilder and Josh retire in the next two years.. or fury somehow gets a belt..

I dont see him being a champion again.. I mean theres always punchers chance..

actually I would find a fight between him and fury interesting...

klitchsko can be a boring fighter but fury would make it entertaining..

I cant see klitch surviving a wilder right hand tho.....

Fury already beat him. Took all the titles, went on a coke binge then got stripped of all his belts except the lineal title since he never lost that in the ring.

And the fight was extra boring, best part was fury singing to his ol lady in the ring after the decision

Projections from the Broadcasters Audience Research Board (BARB) place Joshua vs Ruiz 2 just EIGHT THOUSAND buys ahead of the previous record. As it turns out, Joshua already held that title for his 2017 effort opposite Wladimir Klitschko. Joshua and Klitschko enjoyed an enthralling encounter at Wembley Stadium.

The bout was recently named by some as the Fight of the Decade for 2010-19. Fast forward two and a half years and Joshua has extended his grip on the British market by overtaking the mark. This is despite the Ruiz event taking place in Saudi Arabia. Paid a fortune to travel to the Middle East, Joshua claimed back his heavyweight world championships by out-boxing Ruiz over twelve rounds. Sky Sports Box Office televised Joshua vs Ruiz Jr. 2 at a higher price of £24.95.

It wasn’t the exciting clash fans were used to with AJ. Although the 30 year-old showed maturity in order to overcome a shocking loss. Ruiz dropped Joshua four times in New York City on June 1st, demolishing Joshua’s reputation in America after just one bout. Going back to basics, Joshua regained the IBF, IBO, WBO and WBA straps. Now Joshua has regained his position and seemingly given an ailing UK PPV platform a brief reprieve, it’s hoped a battle with Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury will follow.

Dillian Whyte reflects on Wladimir Klitschko's punishing training camp

skysports-deontay-wilder-boxing_4887918.jpg

Waiting to trade punches with a formidable champion, Whyte watched as Klitschko calmly dissected his sparring partners before delivering a final, concussive blow.

Any sign of submission was an insult to Whyte, who had tested his toughness on street corners and against battle-hardened fighters in little-known leisure centres, but now he was sizing up the Ukrainian ruler of the top division.

"I was just trying to learn, and then I saw him knocking people out. I was thinking 'you ain't f**king knocking me out.' I went in there and I went after him."

Whyte had headed to Klitschko's remote training base at the Stanglwirt resort, with its cosy log cabins in the snowy Austrian mountains. Away from the fairy tale façade, Klitschko was bludgeoning a parade of fighters as he prepared for yet another defence of his unified heavyweight titles.

Sam Sexton, an aspiring contender from Norfolk, had also made the trip to test his skills against the division's dominant king, only to be left with a painful memento.

"He broke Sexton's nose," recalled Whyte. "I said 'nah. Woah, you're not knocking me out. I'm coming'.

"I went in there and started roughing him up and having a proper fight with him. I got sent home for that."

Whyte would return, having received another invite to join a crop of talented fighters, including British rival Anthony Joshua, and they would be ushered into the indoor tennis courts at Klitschko HQ, which had been transformed into the setting for a far more brutal pastime.

Recent remarks from Joshua had angered the snarling south Londoner and a member of Klitschko's training team had to prevent a furious confrontation.

"I wanted to punch Joshua up, at first, because he was talking a lot of smack," said Whyte.

"There was genuine annoyance there. Bashir [Ali] and a couple of guys stopped me getting at him and then it sort of got squashed. It was a bit edgy."

Whyte says an initial offer to spar with Joshua was accepted, but later declined, with both fighters already on a collision course for their eventual British title battle in 2015.

Joshua would later lock eyes with Klitschko at the centre of Wembley Stadium, although years ahead of that epic battle, pleasantries were exchanged between the fellow Olympic gold medallists.

"He was friendly with the likes of Joshua," admitted Whyte. "They are very similar in their mindset and their behaviour. You know me, I was just a bit of a street thug then. I was just thinking, I'm not getting knocked out."

Deontay Wilder flew in for a stint at the Stanglwirt while he was still in the fledgling stages of a career that has seen him crowned as America's long-reigning WBC champion.

This younger version of 'The Bronze Bomber' strived to showcase his power against Klitschko, with Whyte revealing how he witnessed the sudden, explosive ending of a sparring session.

"I've seen him getting knocked out," said Whyte. "Wladimir knocked him out.

"He knew what happened. He had his hands up. He was roughing Wlad up, bringing the smoke, and he was going wild.

"Wlad backs up, changes his footwork, feinting, feinting, jabs to the body, throws that feint jab, left hook. Wilder had his hands up, he was gone.

"It wasn't no knockdown, he was knocked cold. Properly twitching as well.

"That's why they probably didn't want him to fight Wlad, because Wlad was going to fight him as a pro and Wilder never fancied it the whole time."

Joshua and Wilder now hold all the world heavyweight titles between them, years after they stepped between the ropes for a painful tutorial from Klitschko.

Both champions could soon be challenged by Oleksandr Usyk, another graduate from Klitschko's sparring school of hard knocks, who stepped up a division after becoming undisputed cruiserweight champion.

But what about Whyte? Will he become the latest heavyweight student from the Stanglwirt to emerge as a world champion?

Andy Ruiz Jr's trainer Manny Robles: I don’t know if working relationship will continue

Manny Robles is still waiting to hear whether he will continue as Andy Ruiz Jr's trainer.

The former world heavyweight champion who conceded the IBF, WBA and WBO belts back to Anthony Joshua in last month's rematch is planning his next fight for late-spring, according to Robles who led him through a rollercoaster 2019.

But they have barely communicated since and, asked if he will continue working with Ruiz Jr, Robles told Sky Sports: "I don't know. That's for Andy to decide."

skysports-andy-ruiz-manny-robles_4887170.jpg

Ruiz Jr apologised to Robles moments after losing his second meeting with Joshua, admitting he was "overweight" and that "partying" had contributed to a below-par preparation having shockingly won the first fight.

Robles, who was visibly frustrated with Ruiz Jr post-fight, now says about their relationship: "I want to say it is still good. He has gone on vacation and everything seems to be fine.

"We'll find out in the near future. At some point, we will speak.

"If and when he's ready to come back to the gym, that's when my job begins. My job is not to call him every day. He's a man, not a kid, and must be treated as such.

"You can't convince someone to want something."

Asked if it was unusual for Ruiz Jr to spend so long away from training, Robles said: "Nothing like this. The fame and money has been overwhelming for Andy. He's got to know how to handle it. Maybe after this defeat, the game has humbled him.

"Stay humble or be humbled."

Reflecting on the aftermath of Ruiz Jr's momentous victory over Joshua in New York, Robles said: "The first three months after beating Joshua on June 1, I had very little communication with him.

"I was in the gym but he was at home, doing his own thing. I wasn't able to see him or really talk to him.

"I was disappointed by everything leading up to the result [of the rematch]. The preparation. Fights are won in the gym and, when you don't go into a fight at 100 percent this is what you get.

"It was a lack of time in the gym, too many distractions, and not being focused like I expected him to be. So this is the result that you get.

"He wasn't prepared for this type of success, fame or money so it could be overwhelming.

"Preparation is key to beating anybody.

"Every fight has to be the biggest of your life. You're a warrior, a gladiator. You have to take this very seriously and I don't care how much money you're making."

But Robles insists that he still hopes to lead a reinvigorated Ruiz Jr back to the world title.

Klitchsko is old and hasn’t fought in a long ass time. Fury fucked him up in his prime, he will send his ass back to retirement in a rematch...
