I bought into FSLY and NET. NET went down on a sympathy play from FSLY. All I want is $5 from FSLY. NET, I'll be happy with $3.
Got my $5 out of FSLY. Got tired of waiting for $3 on NET, sold out for a $1+ gain.

That's crazy!
TDameritrade is my primary trading platform.
It's big institution stuff with the kinds of safeguards you'd expect.

Webull is my second platform and it's cool. I use it more for market screener, price action, comment sections etc.

Robinhood just feels cheap. Still i'm surprised, if true, that it's as simple as the twitter story makes it seem to steal someones money.

Ppl should treat Robinhood like a demo account. Yes I know real money is traded on there but once you get the gist of trading and your account pass the $20k mark, abandon it.

Went in on my biggest options play yet with a couple of $30 Jan 15 calls on WKHS. As long as it hits 33 by then I'll break even but I'm really hoping they get this contract and it goes through the roof!
Good to hear you on the play.

Might I suggest cashing out before tge expiration date. The option will continue to lose value over time. If you see a profit over the next few weeks, cash out, and reset. In my opinion, its not worth it hanging on to options contracts unless you plan 9n exercising the contract to buy the stock.

Nonetheless, I'm excited for you brother. All of you guys getting into the options game are really making my 2020 special.

I agree with this. But, for different reasons. I think 9nce you get to the 20K mark, you need to step your research and analytics game up. Unfortunately, you can't get that on Robinhood. I will never close my Robinhood account be auze the access to my cash is unmatched. I xant get immediate access to my money with TD Ameritrade. With Robinhoon, I can buy and option in the morning, make a couple grand, and use my Robinhood visa to blow it on whatever.

Technology is a trip man.

Thanks man. I've learned the hard way that holding on to options contracts once you've made a profit in the hopes of more profits usually ends up bad lol. I was up a few hundred with RKT, I was up with NIO and a few others but but ended up in the red because I held too long. Recently I've taken the approach that some money is better than no money and won with MSFT, WKHS and AAPL.

My other thing is I have to trade different than most people here. I work for a company that requires all employees to hold stocks for 5 days to avoid any potential insider trading even if you don't have access to that information. Due to that, I have to look for plays that are at least a week away.

NIO called me back for one more spin. Hope I don't get a whammy. Sold a put spread and got a decent credit so need to be ready for what the open brings. I'm right around break even for now. Looking for a green day tomorrow before end of day sell off. I also need bullshit NKLA to close above 23.50 and I am straight. I'll be around 90% cash after that.

As soon as your contract is filled, add a close for locked-in profit.

That's the thing about those EV stocks. $NKLA burned me on that. You figured all the problems they had with the CEO and rumors of stolen tech from $TSLA and fake engineering spec etc would have doomed that company. So i figured let me get some put order in and the damn stock went bullshit...WTH?

I'm not even going to attempt to play the bearish position on $NIO. These stocks have staying power(NIO for good reasons). I honestly think outside of some crazy Trump tweet its going to stay above $23 going forward.

I fully expect it to hit $30-$33 tomorrow(Friday).

BTW, Keep an eye out for $SPAQ..Fisker is supposed to go on with Cramer tomorrow..The stock may pop for a minute..

I restarted it for you. I also said that people would make as much money as they did in the crypto thread in a fraction of the time and they did.

but what do I know. I’m just a troll

props for starting the original. I’m just sitting back watching and hope the brothas in here make as much as I did from late February to August.

yes sir, big ups

Understood... sometimes someone will have a different angle on a topic that will bring new light(or a different way of saying/seeing) that will even further simplify a subject... no offense intended, I appreciate all contributions and have been sharing as much as I gain when given the opportunity. BGOL has been good to/for me for A LONG TIME...

That's a possiblity. But i'm not sure what's the logic behind these far out contracts given the premium cost? Especially, when there's gains to be made in less than 1 month(for me 2 weeks out) contracts?

$NIO is a perfect example of that. Crazy momenteum at the beginning of the week...Buy yourself a call, spread etc contract(s) with a strike price just in the price action range....BOOM couple hundreds/thousand dollar profit..Done! Save some of those gains and use some of it as levarage on your next move.

The same with this $WKHS example. If it's going anywhere near $33 dollar it's going to be notice well before Jan 15 and their will be contracts at a far lesser cost availble along the way capitalizing on the immediate price action.

Just went in on an ITM call option off the strength of this "news" (@1.78, Nov 6 - 59.5 strike). CVS is one of my long term dividend holds, it's way down from it's high so I've been building a position in my IRA. The price hasn't really moved much for months but I'm cautiously optimistic.

Oh im in plenty of short term plays. Actually used the profits from a WKHS 20 call that I sold at 29 to buy this new one. Besides that, I feel like the real pop is a while away but I seen stocks pop AH or PM and premiums that were looking pretty nice double by the time I can get to it. I fully believe that speculation on this stock and the USPS contract will get it to the over 30, i just don't know when lol. I invest in my index funds, I gamble with options.

I gotcha..The word is they'll make their decision at the end of the year.
So you're putting yourself in position to capatilize now at the lower strike price until that time.

NIO will always remain a positive longterm play.

EV will be in play no matter what because It is the future. Now, if only that damn $TSLA would catch some downward momentum for the short. It is heavily overvalued and I re-started this thread pumping $TSLA
