ALWAYS take profits. Don’t get greedy! You can always buy additional call options using some of your profits!

you get a contract,
robinhood gives u price of the contract(which will be 100 shares of whatever the contract cost)
you get a breakeven price for the stock
you want to get your stock to go towards the breakeven price, you choose whether the stock go higher or lower to that breakeven price
buy a call(u betting the price of the stock will rise past the breakeven price)
buy a sell(u betting the price of the stock will go lower than the breakeven price)
always sell before the contract expire(possible be on the hook for 100 shares of the stock so i understand)
Dang it!! I told you to sell and not hold. Lol!!Shit sell when you’re up. That’s all I can say. I fucked up my first one this week holding too long.
You have to remember that options are depreciating assets. Over time, even if the stock price stats the same or goes up slightly, it looses value. So question to the fam, my plug call option is showing a 68% profit, dec 18 exp.

This makes so much sense now.You have to remember that options are depreciating assets. Over time, even if the stock price stats the same or goes up slightly, it looses value.
Sell brother, reinvest with just a fraction of the profits. If the price keeps going up, you can make more money buying a cheaper option and continuing to ride the wave.

Fingers crossed here too.Earnings preview: Reports from Juniper and Arista show that Cisco could struggle to produce solid results and forecast, analyst says
Cisco Systems Inc.'s ability to withstand the COVID-19 pandemic likely hinges on how well the maker of computer- networking equipment has shifted its sales mix to cloud customers.
Cisco (CSCO) faces a potentially rough reception on Thursday after the close of markets, when the company reports first-quarter results. Citi Research analyst Jim Suva, who has a neutral rating on the stock, said he doesn't expect much of an upside to forecasts or a return to profit growth near-term for Cisco, given the company's high exposure to service provider and traditional, on-premises customers.
"While the company does not disclose its customer mix, we believe its service provider exposure is likely around 20% of sales and cloud is much less," Suva said.
Given that service-provider sales are struggling, enterprise and small-to-medium-sized business sales are having an even tougher time, the analyst said. Suva estimates that 60% of Cisco sales are made up of enterprise and SMB sales.
The Citi analyst cited recent reports from Juniper Networks Inc (https://www.marketwatch.com/story/juniper-stock- rises-on-in-line-results-forecast-11603832701).(JNPR) and Arista Networks Inc. (https://www.marketwatch.com/story/ arista-networks-stock-heads-for-best-day-in-three-years-after-earnings-2020-11-03)(ANET) to gauge Cisco's outlook based on their relative sales exposure to service providers versus cloud customers. Juniper, with 40% exposure to service providers and 25% to cloud, forecast a "muted" fourth quarter and 2021 outlook, Suva said. Arista, which has 26% exposure to service providers and 37% to cloud, expects double-digit sales growth in the fourth quarter and 2021, the analyst noted.
Arista shares are up 28% for the year, while Juniper shares are down 13%.
Earnings: Analysts on average expect Cisco to report net income of 70 cents a share, down from net income of 84 cents a share a year ago. Analysts have lowered their outlook for the quarter since the last earnings report -- they had been projecting net income of 75 cents a share at the end of July before Cisco issued a forecast of 69 cents to 71 cents a share in August .
I know it's been beasting but what's driving this today?
A couple of factors are driving it up. A few days ago JP Morgan upgraded their price target for NIO from $40 to $46. Also, everyone is anticipating their Q3 2020 earnings call on NOV 18th.
