Thanks. Just took a look at the holdings in it...It is loaded, but why is it a minority ETF??
Don't know why it is, it's another stock that runs with it.....WOMN I think it is supposedly a women empowerment stock ETF
and there is a equality empowerment ETF.....SGDA

ETF'S get crazy symbols like that. Like it's a cybersecurity ETF with the ticker BUG. I think its a space ETF called UFO lol.

Starting to be to much push on buying AMC & GME  starting to have that feeling I had about the market in 07. Play it safe folks(don't play with money you can't afford to lose)
Interesting company. Seem to be targeting companies with a social agenda for minority groups…a lot of movement over the last couple months. I may grab a few for the long haul.

That's what I was thinking and did, thinking Wall Street is using social media to manipulate buying :smh: they have found out how the little guys were getting ahead and are using it to their advantage now.

Any investment-savvy dudes (or women) know what's the better investment: high yield dividend stocks or high yield dividend ETF's?

depends on what your goal is
If you like to control your own investments
Then you want to go for individual stocks
You have no control on what stocks your etf adds
For example I hold icln but think plug is shit
Yet plug was their biggest holdings until recently

If you want high growth then stocks
Most etf do not outperform their index
That’s the biggest difference for me

And most etf will come with fees

I think a diversified portfolio will have larger returns than a dividend etf because with the stocks you would get a variety of different yields unlike the etf that is giving you one overall yield.

If you're specifically looking for dividend income, either one can work. But there are a few considerations, like Hav said..

1 - Whether or not you have specific companies of high conviction (or use) that pay the dividend. The Walmarts, Exxons, the Verizons.

PROS: You will likely have better asset appreciation/ gains on top of the divvy..
CONS: The divvy can get lowered or removed all together, so you have to watch and be willing to move your money to another dividend payer if that time comes.

2 - Or if you want to set and forget and invest in an EFT like VYM or VIG

PROS: Passive and diversified. Won't have to watch it like a hawk to make sure it's still paying you a divvy.
CONS: Asset appreciation may be slower (but steadier?) and it will come with at least a small expense ratio
