Anyone On Here Play The Guitar/Bass?

Bruh, I can tell you're having a blast thumping on that bass!

I was always team Fender... wanted a Precision bass or Strat or Tele..

Now I play a Tele and that thing plays like a dream.

Having a well made, good looking guitar is like night and day difference between now and when I was a shortie.
Not a guitarist, but if I was, I'd play a Tele and Les Paul. I love those things.

This is gonna be my next guitar:

Should be all cued up but if not. It's at 9:52

That Gretsch is nice!

I want that wooden Strat at the end.

I totally lucked up on a Tele..an absolute beauty... black cherry and like in the video, it was in mind condition at a pawn shop for less than $400...with a nice hard case.

I have an SX Les Paul Special and it plays great, but it's heavy AF.

Not yet. I got sidetracked by my grandson and him asking for black on black Air Jordan 1's.
I know the feeling bruh.:lol::lol: Picked up that P Bass. Gonna get a Fender Bass amp today from Guitar Center. I have a Roland Jazz 600 amp for my Ibanez LBG30. That's not gonna work for bass I'm quickly learning.

I've seen that video about 8 times and I'm not sure I made it to the end once lol.
First time I watched it, I heard that beautiful TONE on the Gretsch and immediately went to find other videos of it. If it sounds that good in person and feels good too, it's a wrap.

Yeah that Strat's nice as well. Pretty too. I like the natural wood of it and the large early 70s headstock. Good price too.

Les Pauls are heavy, but man, that tone!!!
That Fender P Bass II is considerably heavier than the Jazz bass but it's not uncomfortable for me at all. Gonna get a foot stool to play on too. My uncle had one and it makes a difference trust me. Very comfortable having your leg up a bit.

Don't sleep on the Monoprice offerings, especially for those on a budget and don't know if they'll fully commit:

Bruhhhhh, good looking out on this!

I recently bought a Chinese made guitar and the stuff made cheaply is getting pretty good. I checked out those Indio guitars and the reviews and you can't beat the prices for the quality.

And like you said, you may not be ready to drop a grand or more for a guitar. This gives you a good feel for a more expensive ax and let's you decide if you'd wanna spend the money for the real deal.

I thought I wanted a large semi hollow ax. When I started playing a $160 Chinese made Grote, I found it plays great, but it's so much bigger than my others that it hurts my shoulder...woulda spent a minimum of $2k to get a Gibson, that I wouldn't wanna play everyday.

I told a family member about them and he went and got 2 of them. The reviews were mostly positive and he said they play like the big dogs.

I'm an admitted snob regarding guitars and the ones I like I've wanted for years. But, for the average beginner, those Chinese copies are really good.

I've wanted a Les Paul Standard forever, but it's $3 grand. I saw a couple of those Indios for under $300...might try one out.

For sure.

I don't know if you know, Guitar Max

But he demoes and reviews inexpensive hidden guitar gems and gear. He's given positive reviews to Monoprice amps.

I'm not a guitar player myself but I have bought plenty of Monoprice products over the years. They make great bang for your buck equipment. I've heard lots of positive about these guitars for them to be under $300.

That bass line is so classic...I remember humming to it as a kid.

Yeah, when you can play a riff note for note and it sounds just like the record, that's a great feeling of accomplishment.
Yup. And only a week and a half practicing with the bass too. I'm making phenomenal progress

Learned the Sugar Hill Gang's Rappers Delight baseline on my P Bass. My speed and technique are coming together on bass.

Very interesting that I prefer playing the Bm chord with two fingers instead of 3. It's much less stressful on the hand and I actually have no problem getting tone from the 6th string. Chord changes are easier that way also.
