Not true. The 21% of posters who voted for Oscar Robertson didn't all see him play. 47% didn't see Bill Russell. You think over 97% of people here saw Jordan? Shaddy was in diapers. If anything, the opposite is true and people will accept legends they never actually saw as gospel greats.

With 110 votes, this one is pretty well decided.

BGOL's Basketball Mount Rushmore is:

Michael Jordan- 107, 97.27%
Magic Johnson- 82, 74.55%
Bill Russell- 52, 47.27%
Wilt Chamberlain- 48, 43.64%

Not particularly close but next in line were Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (35, 32%), LeBron James (25, 23%), and Oscar Robertson (23, 21%).

Wow, a little surprised at Bron with that high a percent. I guess BGOL is assuming he will just continue on doing his thing for another 6+ years. That's fine. It's possible. And if he does he will absolutely deserve to be on there.

LeBron James- 27, 23.08%
Kobe Bryant- 15, 12.82%
Shaquille O'Neal- 7, 5.98%
Tim Duncan- 6, 5.13%

Support for LeBron James is one point lower than support for Shaq, Kobe & Tim Duncan COMBINED.

I think he's overrated. Great but overrated.

He's got as many MVPs as all 3 of those combined so that sounds about right. His present 3 year run (2012-2014) has been more impressive and dominant than any 3 consecutive years of those guys careers. More points, more hardware, more impact.
