BGOL Artists, I need your help for a book cover (Porn Inside)

Light and shadows can make or break your pic, so take your time... set the right mood.

You can purchase a piece of velvet, and use it to rest your items on seductively, and you're in the game.
I'd even add a glass of wine/champagne or something like that.

Certain fruits work too. Like Eve bit the apple; peaches, strawberries you know what I mean. It's all inference.
Exactly. Here's another popular example we all can appreciate from back in the day....

IMO you have to show big tits and a lot of cleavage. You can easily make it a black & white cover to handle the ethnic issue. Or you could make it an illustration. And you can make several different covers for each marketplace.
There are tons of busty medical pictures on the net, any half-decent Illustrator user can pop out several cover choices in a short time.

Searched "busty nurse" results in .02 seconds.

I never post but this is intriguing and congrats! Other options…high heels don’t always say naughty but some red high heels against the otherwise dark background may pop. Maybe a stethoscope hanging over the red heels. Maybe a thong or garter as an additional layer? Depending on how “naughty” you talking…a flogger. Since the in thing is nurses taking mid-shift selfies showing the butt plug (Glory to Zod) they’ve worn all shift…maybe a bejeweled plug?
I like that idea with the red high heels in a dark gray background with a stethoscope draped across the Heels

I can feel that. So, a glass of wine, red lingerie on a hanger in the background

A friend of mine said a book Like partway open

Help me out here

How about this:

Naughty Nurse Chronicles if large print, Nurse in red letters, I liked that

An open book to the contents page that says: Naughty Nurse Chronicles Volume I (in small letters)

A glass of wine In front of the book, 2 strawberries at the floor near the bottom of the glass
A stethoscope slung over the book
A red lingerie hanging in the background off to the left

Hell yeah - this sounds good.

@godofwine

Early congrats. Yeah ... the larger print / font with red letters is definitely a nice eye-catcher.

With books and magazines ... there's always a few that catch your eye immediately when scanning the shelves and racks at stores, or the indexes on websites.

With the initial cover examples ... the lack of cleavage & fully covered arms made it too clinical or PG.

This being BGOL and all ... most of us probably want to suggest a nice XXX Nurse(s)-type porn box cover. Trust me, I was gonna have Google Images open in a 2nd tab. But I don't want to derail page 2, lol.

But yeah ... a darker background and incorporating wine, stethoscope, lingerie as visuals ... oh yeah.

Do you plan on having additional visual(s) on the back cover of the book too?

I am going to publish it as an e-book right now. I'm going to ask you guys later what programs I can use because I plan on doing an audiobook voicing every character

I think it would be smart to add two strawberries to the floor next to the glass of wine

That might be it

I'll do it if you want.

But I think something like a stethoscope, with the nurse hat, maybe a syringe, dark lit and leave the character up to the imagination

Or could do an outline of a nurse, perfectly lit to make out her outlines to not make out her face but just the body and cleavage. With a high cut outfit of course. Like a miniskirt, too high

Good plan with the strawberries.

That's cool re: e-book and eventual audiobook with the characters voiced.

Wish I was more tech-savvy and knew about programs to use, etc. Honestly, I don't have the 1st clue.

:thumbsup::cheers:

Thanks bro. I've changed the specs a bit

What do you guys think? One of these or keep going? Try again?

What should I ask them to fix if anything?

Strange.

I worked in a hospital for 6 years, and never, ever say anyone where long sleeves under scrubs like that.

What WAS common (for the purpose of hiding skin) was people who wore white lab coats over scrubs.

Also, if the subject matter concerns matters of the flesh, this ain't doin' it. You could have skin shown AND be ambigous
about race: skin color can be represented so as to make the chick look Puerto Rican, or Yemeni, or African American, or Egyptian...or...

Another thing to consider is that, although black faces may not sell to white folks, this might not be as big a concern as you think. Many white folks are interested in subject matter of an adult nature that feature people who are not white. Just look at some of the pulp covers from the 50s-70s. Many of the women portrayed are "swarthy". The only thing that really defines
their ethnicity is facial features. You can show skin without facial features and make it look more appealing and add an air of mystery.

Since you asked.

Have you considered an image in silhouette?

Alleviates the need to take race in to consideration, done in black and white, saves SIGNIFICANT money
when it comes to printing.
Much cheaper to do black and white than 4 color. Also, just pay the illustrator; no need for model nor model releases.

Yeah, I 86'd that idea

Boom

Perhaps a phallic symbol, to reach your audience on a subliminal level?

A hypodermic, with a leg wrapped suggestively around it, showing nurse's dress/uniform, perhaps.

@PsiBorg @yureeka9 @playahaitian @Helico-pterFunk

what do you think of this one? Which one,, and do you think it's enough?

I like the concept of second one. But I'd take a picture of all those together, dark lit. Don't even see you costing anything to put that on a table, and with some manipulation in pshop, can look dark lit and sensual looking. Also have a panty like a thong draped across the book with the stethoscope.
Maybe get some chocolate covered strawberries from the grocery, chicks like that.

Can shoot it with your cell and manipulate the pic on the PC.

I don't like the yellow highlights around the letters and I think the background is too bright

@Mixd I'm with you on the chocolate covered strawberries and the thong draped across rhe book with the stethoscope

And if the background is darker the name Ty Robertson should be in red. Don't you think?

Focus on the image, lettering and stuff comes after and is kind of the easier thing to manipulate or change.

But getting the initial picture for the cover is what's crucial to convey to your demographic. Need that shit at first glance to catch your customer's eye.

I like the one with the curtain, and I like the idea of the thong on the book with the stethoscope and the chocolate covered strawberries. Is that enough to grab the attention of the demographic?

Best thing to do is once you finalize on something is to get a collective opinion of others. Like friends, family and stuff.

Personally I'm not a fan of the curtain, or may work if you have an actual image of it and not clip art type stuff. I think I did a book cover in the past for a client with curtains, but can't remember. Was long ago.
