Just got back from watching it and I must say, I was disappointed at times.

It was not a better movie that part 1.

Chadwick is the heart and soul of this franchise.

I do not wish to see another Black Panther movie. This should be the end.

Nate Moore is not a good producer.

MCU is seriously falling off. I will not be watching movies in a movie theatre anymore.

I do not care about the X Men.

This movie was FUCKIN AMAZING!

I could have bought another ticket and watched it again as soon as that mid credit scene went off... this is easily 1 of the MCU's top 5 movies.

Speaking of THAT scene:
was that Chadwick son because he looked JUST like him...

I liked Iron Heart... I didn't read a lot about her but if she was truly a kid that was mechanically inclined from a young age, hanging with dad, working on cars, etc. she'd be a bit tomboy-ish so that didn't really bug me...

That esé did a good job as Namor... his sis wanted ALL THE SMOKE!! She was cast well also... I like how the wings on his feet didn't look too goofy...

Only thing I wish they had done was call back to Endgame when they talked about the earthquake in the ocean... Okoye downplaying it at that moment would have played well with the secretive way in which the Wakandans operate... them being completely oblivious to Namor and crew was a bit strange... them not even thinking other areas of the world could have vibranium is also strange because in the 1st movie and in Age of Ultron Clawe pretty much said they either know where all vibranium is at all times or they will track it down IMMEDIATELY.

I think we should give the fam one more week to see the movie before we really get into talking about it, spoilers be damned

my complaint is that she didnt revenge her mother.
i woulda took Namor's head off...............fuck that.......................there are some things u just can't and don't forgive.
if it means eternal war.................then let it come.
I'm kinda glad they didn't... I'm tired of the villain in comic movies getting figured out and killed off in the latter half of the movie... its like, this dude been giving you the bidness the entire first portion of the movie then all at once you have an epiphany and kill him with relative ease within the next 30 to 45 minutes... let's get some character building, somebody being selfish and moving for his own self interests, playing both sides of the fence, not as easy to read as being good or bad... apparently Namor's alliance changes as needed to best help his people so his reasoning for doing what he did makes perfect sense

And T'challa did the same thing with T'Chaka, let his killer live

And one more thing...

why didn't he IMMEDIATELY go for water after the ship crashed? He was all flying around, fighting Shuri... you'd think he would go to the ocean, heal up a bit, then come back at full strength...

What are you talking about. No villain has EVER been killed.
It would be amazing to see a fucking hero just kill a villain and get it over with!

I know Shuri can't kill Namor.

But I wanted her to shove the spear through his fucking heart.

However what comic books movies have there been that has killed the villain off?

There is only 1.

Cause the movie has to movie.
Why did he give them 1 week to get their army ready.
He could have killed them all and Riri and chilled out.

And one more thing...

If I can find the interview, I'll post it, but the earthquake mention in Endgame was just something random the writers threw in. Coogler had the same thought as most fans and asked them about it.

It's a little odd that Wakandans never heard about Talocan, but only 5 percent of our oceans have been explored. Also, vibranium is hard to detect underwater and Wakanda has more than enough already.

Ya'll keep forgetting the Wakandans have stayed isolated for ages. The average Wakandan doesn't know shit past what T'Challe them was telling them.

and yet it also instills that black people are still way too forgiving.......

I hear you, but the way the Auntie went in at that UN meeting about the white man and their greed where that power is concerned, you'd think they would be more adamant about searching out vibranium everywhere... hell, they found out about the sale of a couple pounds worth of vibranium (being sold by Klawe, but still) and the king, his general and their top spy went to battle over it.

And if ANYBODY has the technology to detect vibranium no matter if it's on the water or on the moon, it's the Wakandans.

Just finished the movie ( to the basement)

I loved it but I gotta say that I was still annoyed at the end credit scene. It was still the basic Marvel “we need to talk" formula. In fact it was the same one that She Hulk just ended on. But whatever that wasn’t my problem because they actually showed the talked and it was emotionally important to THIS movie. Not some other movie that may happen in 4 years.

No my problem was how it effected the end of the movie. Am I the only one that thinks the movie kinda ends on a weird note. It’s respectfully silent for the montages but then it just kinda fades out and the credits start.

And then 3 minutes later it fades right back into the same scene and they finish the movie. Was there any reason for that to be a post credit scene other than Marvel being contractually obligated to hold their audience hostage for at least 3 extra minutes every time?

It doesn’t hurt the film in the slightest. I honestly love this movie. But it’s the little shit that Marvel feels like they HAVE to cram into every movie that’s at this point really aren’t needed. :dunno:

They're isolationists, not ignorant. The average Wakandan doesn't know much about the outside world, but you would expect the King and tribal council to be more informed. They knew all about the slave trade and colonialism. Wardogs exist for a reason. Aliens coming to earth and people with superpowers wouldn't be new to them. They should have all kinds of intel on unusual historical events and figures going back centuries.
