Exactly now if you were paying attention to the story you were shown you would see how the science is much like magic in this universe.

Huh. Namor wanted to be left alone. He didn't want anyone finding out about him and his people. Killmonger wanted to make his presence felt. He wanted the world to know who he was. Killmonger wanted revenge.
