I disagree.
I don't know if anyone on here is truly qualified to define what acting role is "hardest". Cause we seen actors use the method, starve themselves, gain weight, train, study for years...
And still not deliver to the publics expectations.
The challenge of taking that role was immense.
He was really the first black lead superhero for the MCU. Millions were watching and hoping and expecting.
When he came on screen for the first time and jumped those stairs and that close up?
You think thats EASY?
You think that just anyone can sell that? Deliver that?
Be iconic?
I salute ALL THOSE ACTORS who take those roles and just nail it.
They SUPPOSED to make it look easy.
Chadwick BECAME Black Panther.
On and off the screen.
RDJ is Tony Stark PERIOD. So is Chris Evans.
Personification of comic book characters myths legends.
Same goes for any actor that takes something off the page and gives it life weight and agency.
And it ain't easy.
And being T'Challa was hard then and will harder next time.
You too are selling black male actors short.
I didn't say "anybody" can do it, or that it was EASY. I said I'm SURE if given a shot some would do GREAT in the role.
Im guessing there isn't much of an age difference between us. I'm probably a little older but still.
Do you remember when Sean Connery was Bond on and off screen? As iconic a role as there was at the time. To this day I think he's still got the most Bond movies. What do you think happened when he moved on?
Another actor would do his own version of BP. Not Boseman's. And that is what he would be judged on.
