That blowout didnt even bother me. Starting from 8th at Spa, a win is impossible, podium highly unlikely. Ferrari went for it with a one stopper and almost got it. With Kimi starting 16th they really didnt have a better play. Glad Ham got it. I think Nico did something suspect in the virtual SC, that dude is as crooked as the letter S.

yeah, that was kinda weird. On the broadcast, they said the gaps are to remain the same when the virtual car is out. How did Nico pick up a second?

He probably ignored it. Racing is still very much a sport where youre expected to do the honorable thing. You race with the expectation other drivers will have respect for the other drivers, and the sport. This is also why Ive never liked Senna. He was a great driver, but dirty as fuck at a time where the sport was dangerous. All of of Sennas passes weren't "Illegal," but were dirty. Im getting sidetracked, but I say that to say this. Theres allot of shit the Stewards miss on the circuit. Typically the people on TV or in the pits will catch it first, then an investigation starts. Nico properly thought no one would notice, and that the gamble was worth the risk. Its expected that the drivers are honorable when they race. But as we see thats not always the case.

Ever since F1 change to manual on launch, we're starting to see a difference between someone who can drive a car and someone who knows how to race a car.

So they check the pressure prior to start and didn't say shit..no way should any penalty be imposed.:thefinger:

Guidelines issued by Pirelli stated that teams must start the race with tyre pressures of 19.5psi or above, however when both Mercedes were checked ahead of the start, Hamilton's left-rear tyre was found to be 0.3psi below the required mark, with the same tyre on Rosberg's car 1.1 psi under.

Just take look at Rosberg's DNF to know that he shouldn't rely on coasting to anything. Two races out of points and Rosberg is right back in it. Merc has had tremendous reliability this year which is unusual for them.

He's been cleared.

FIA knew they were on some bullshit. After they take the tire blankets off the tire temps drop significantly and that's all that happened. Hamiltons car was in regs when it left the garage, so unless Mercedes has a magic tire deflator, they knew exactly what happened. It would've been farce to disqualify him after knew he was down on psi and technically "unsafe". They tried to pull a fast one by bringing the infomation to Mercedes toward the end of the race.

Let's hope Kimi doesnt go back to highschool and stall out today.

The nature of this track without a decent amount of airflow, the heat, and point and shoot nature pretty much neutralizes Merc power units. If Ferrari and Redbull don't fuck up it could be a long race for Merc.

I don't know why they're trying to say it's a traction thing this weekend. The Mercs have always been tail happy because they have more power. It was just that it didn't matter because on most tracks they made it up on straights and sweeping corners. These are stop and start low speed corners. You need that low speed traction... And it's all this track is. Last season they had the same issue. It's just that no one else was close power wise. But you go back and look at Qually last season and Mercs advantage was small relative to the massive gap everywhere else.

Gonna be a good race. I want to see how Mercedes handles this race strategy wise.
