Not really. All ev should have a pedestrian sound. I know GM shit is kind of loud. But it goes away if the vehicle is going faster than like 22mph. With that many ppl and music playing in that area, nobody would hear anything unless it was a loud muscle car reviving up the engine.

Apparently they were in the process of being repaired........

I would think during NYE, it would be better to have them stuck permanently up, not down.... and if that wasn't an option, bring in concrete walls.....

But for big gatherings in today's America it's always better to be safer than sorry.....

Shit happens in the French Quarter but cars are usually not an issue, so that was why they decided to keep the barriers down.

Turo uses a 3rd party insurance carrier with the option for the driver to buy extra coverage, but unless dude had his own "gap"/non-insured motorist insurance on the truck....

This was an intentional act in a higher value vehicle......

And most insurance companies don't cover intentional acts.

Add another "injured" victim to the list

Man, it's usually so many cops down in the French quarter, that when something hops off, every damn squad car in the area overruns that place.

I was down there last year and the Israel protest folks got outta hand. I counted at least 30 squad cars swoop outta nowhere on magazine St near Cafe du Monde
 
Damn they put the same lady out there again.

Last press conference she said it's not terrorism.

Now it is.

NEW ORLEANS, La. (KLFY) — At least one person with Lafayette roots has died as a result of the presumed terror attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day, according to local officials.

Tiger Bech, 28, was taken to a New Orleans hospital where he died late Wednesday morning, according to Kim Broussard, the athletic director at St. Thomas More Catholic High School.

Bech played football at STM before going on to play at Princeton. He graduated from Princeton in 2021 with a degree in finance and worked as a trader at Seaport Global, a New York brokerage firm, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Broussard said he was taken to the hospital after the attack and was kept on life support until his family could arrive.
Bech, who played wide receiver, quarterback, punt returner and defensive back at STM, earned all-state honors and was a member of the All-Acadiana Regional and All-District First Team as a senior. He also also lettered in lacrosse and track, leading the lacrosse team to a state title and reaching three state semifinals.

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.

Watch how there will be a lack of condemnation to one blaming this event on immigration.

The streets are for traveling not staging gay crybaby terrorism events.
