Shannon Sharpe taking shots through other people now. Liking tweets calling Skip Bayless a piece of shit

I'm glad Shannon gets to keep his podcast...

You’re not stating any cases that support your argument.

You say that he speaks bad on black athletes. Is it that or does he call them out when they fuck up? He was one of the first people to call out Ja when he was fumbling his life.

He called out Antonio Brown early to try and get his mind right.

This isn’t coon behavior. This is mentoring, though it may seem harsh and young people with money tend not to listen, its not like he is dissing them.

I don’t think you know what coon means.

He still haven't give one example on why he thinks Shannon is a coon..

My assessment: Father time is undefeated, and Skip just cannot compete at this level anymore. The morning slot of a TV sports network is where the deadliest of the killers are, and Skip used to be that, but he just got old, plain and simple. He can't handle the rapid fire that Shannon, or Steven A, or anyone brings at that time slot.
He just needs to move to a slower time slot or focus on podcasting. He is to old for the morning slot now. Shannon is not a young man in real life, but he is definitely a young man in the sports news studio. He is only 7 years on and still hungry and is just reaching his prime. Skip just can't keep up and he knows it, that's why he resorts to personal shots. He is frustrated. It happens.

I just can't take all these sports shows anymore!

They repeat the same shit over and over. Speculate and speculate about any and everything.

The only show I like is "Get Up" during football season w/ Rex, RC, and the other people they have on the show.

Sports TV is just too saturated!

Yea i stopped watching Sports Shows and years ago and Undisputed was my favorite.

Hell i even stopped watching the NBA & NFL a couple years ago and i'm still tryin to figure out why.:dunno:

Been watchin that shit since i was 10.:smh:

I wonder if he will let Skip have it on the last show.

Nah that would be seen as unprofessional, I'm sure he wants to but that would hurt him in his future business deakings
I could no longer take the Lebron/Brady/Cowboys talk 24/7, sports talk became repetitive and a waste of time unfortunately.

Yeah I just go to YouTube and watch segments now, I remember watching these sports shows and they'd talk about the same Lebron/Brady/Cowboys game/situation but change the wording in the topic..lol

This does make me wonder if the company was ready to move on from him or maybe it was a mutual agreement. I know Fox was not happy about the Shannons dust up with the Grizzly players. Then you had the heated exchange between him and Skip about Hamlin. And there were a few exchanges between him and Skip about Brady still playing and Sharpe career ending much earlier. We may never know what really brought the duo to an end.

I think these debate shows have short lifespan. The host eventually get tired of going back and forth. And one usually decides to move on to something else or ask for a new cohost. Skip moved on from Stephen A. Marcellus left Ancho. Stephen A. had Max removed from his show. And now Sharp moving on.

Example Jim Rome was good in the 90s but his sizzle fade out

I think he'll wind up a Sirius XM with Pat McAfee leaving which opens up a slot for him. He can do it live from the comfort of his house.

First I was like  But I understand. Shannon don't need that shit. Don't blame him for leaving. He can go do his own thing if that's what he wants.

As for Skip, like it or not, he will be good. He's been doing this since he started with Woody Paige. He is the constant. They will stick someone else on the other side and keep it moving. Villians tend to be the draw.
I have to agree with this. I understand some people hate Skip guts, but dude was never as bad as some made him out to be. He been in the game a long time and will keep going. Question now is who do they replace Sharp with? I think Chris Broussard would be good fit. But I think they want someone thats a former pro. That can give insight on that side of things. Marcelus Wallace? Not sure he wants to jump back into the debate arena.

Where does Sharp go next? I know he already worked at CBS..not sure about ESPN. Could someone like Netfix are Amazon jump in and give him weekly show? Maybe he keeps it's small and independent.

Forgot about PTI..I watched them when they first aired and then after for some years. I think they are more of the exception than the rule. They have both done things on the side and haven't let there egos get in the way. Plus I think the quick format they have prevents them from becoming too invested or heated on any one topic. It's 3 or 4 minutes on most topics and then onto the next.

I've been curious about Pat McAfee but something won't let me watch his show.

Is the show good.

I watch it everyday...I was skeptical at first but his show is actually good...

The guest along is good...Looks like Pacman will be a staple and Darius Butler is on there alot too...

Plus their guests are top tier - Shaq, Peyton, Shams, Coach Prime, Edgerin James, Calvin Johnson.......I mean the list goes on...

I really started fucking with him hard when he signed that deal with Fanduel and gave a large amount to various non profits (black, white, hispanic, and etc.)

I think the most important difference is decades of friendship and mentorship before the TV show.

FWIW IMO, they don’t go viral as often but I’ll take their 3 minutes on a topic over 15 minutes of Skip vs Shannon or SAS vs whoever any day! The PTI duo is seriously underrated and even after decades on the air their takes seem fresher than the others mainly because they are less contrived.

I think the defamation lawsuit from Brett Favre plays into it to and his house got just got burglarized...
