Clapton's version of I shot the Sheriff was more successful than The Wailers version. Although the Wailers version has grown on me, and I like Bob's vocals better.... I hate to say it, but like if I'm driving, I'd rather hear Clapton's version, I think because of the stronger bassline... and the Wailers backup vocals on the original make it less of a groove.









The Go Go's version of vacation was more successful than the original version by I believe the Go Go's bass player's former band, the Textones:
