Hmm, I don't know about Taral's version of Silly being more popular than Deniece's. Her version is good (and I um...love her to this day) buy I honestly never knew she covered it until I saw your post..... Deniece's version was a pretty big hit back in like 1980 or 1981.

...but it wasn't more popular or successful though. I'm not putting it down, but Deniece's version was a huge radio hit. Don't think there was a video for it. ...she got top 10 billboard R&B and I charted on billboard pop chart. Taral's version didn't get that high.

I'm in Jersey, so I've always listened to NYC stations....WBLS, and KISS when it was still KISS, and back in the 90's, hot97, etc, but I seriously don't remember Taral's version getting the play that the original did. It's good though.
