Instead of blaming them for doing their jobs, how about blaming the WNBA for making her sorry team play their first 4 games against monster teams?
Again, she was overhyped, even if she was on a better team. This is why she never got any college rings. She is very one dimensional and will you play tough defense on her she turns into mush.

If the league marketed it's already great players better they would be in a better position, tho the league has grown at a faster rate than the NBA did in the same time frame. I don't think any players are/were praying for her downfall. What some said was it's going to be completely different when she gets to the league and it has at least so far. Those players who've spoken are/were better & won chips in college, olympic medals & WNBA championships. So they saw something lacking in her game & knew that she wouldn't play as well.

Man stop it. Players want to shut any opposing player down. You can already see from the early games they refs are trying to cook the books for her. Sabrina Ionescu is the best 3-point shooter in the league who challenged Steph and she's not getting that defensive treatment.

I Co-sign this. It's competitive sports. Your job is to play defense and stop the other team from scoring. She isn't the only person on Indiana who is being guarded tightly.
If you have a player that is shooting "logo 3's" then you have to pick her up at full/half court. It's just common sense. PLUS, the NCAA tournament showed that when you put that pressure on CC she's not as effective.

Let me ask you a question. If you were a player and you had a better college career (won chips), Olympic medals, WNBA awards & chips how exactly would YOU feel? Especially when you look at the fact that women in the same draft who actually WON something (chips) & had stellar careers have been basically ignored? Your coach hypes up some superstar on the other team and everybody on your team is looking to shut that muthafucka down.....they might be cold blooded, but I shut his ass down or we shut his ass down.
