A coworker from a different work site was driving back from a vacation at the start of August. She drove past some of the regions of the province previously damaged by wildfires in previous years. Noted it was clear that areas hadn't rebuilt.

I'm sure it's gotten to the point wherein people will just say fuck it and move ... not wanting to deal with annual wildfire risks for years to come.
