That nicotine creeped up on you. I see.
You enjoyed it. That's all that matters.
Im trying to learn how to retrohale. My Father (The Judge) is my *Go to* Cigar...and anything from the Cuban seed Co..I actually have 4 or 5 brands that are a *Must Have* in my humidor

Since there is a good number of folks on here that enjoy cigars and are knowledgeable. It would be cool if folks post cigar reviews of the latest sticks they're enjoying. I know for one, I would be appreciative. It's always good to hear other people's take on a cigar even though everyone's palette is different.
It would help if I could exhale through my nose.I was told you can capture more aromas from your cigar that way.

This is my current favorite. LFD La Nox.

Can be hard to find, as it's one of the most popular cigars out right now, and it's a great smoke....

LFD-LaNox.jpg

Just picked up a box of the Liga Privada Dirty Rat

Great, great cigar....

20160823_152125_zps68qdtarb.jpg

Seen the La Nox's and Dirty Rats for minute now and finally decided to pull the trigger based of the strength of your recommendation. Grabbed a few sticks tonight.

My man!

Just smoked a 1964 last night

Great fucking stick!

And these came in a couple of weeks ago.

Best cigar I've ever smoked. . . .

My Father (The Judge) is a damn good cigar! I am a mood cigar person. As in whatever I am in the mood for, so I don't really have a "go to".

My favorite cigar wrappers are Connecticut broadleaf, Ecuadorian Connecticut, and Brazilian Mata Fina. As for binder I have no preference. Although I did have a cigar, I forgot which one, with a criollo binder and it was fantastic. And I don't care for criollo. As for filler I am partial to nicaraguan grown tobacco. I deviate from this all the time, but if I have limited options I stick with those combinations or a Nicaraguan puro.

Retrohale is a good thing. If pepper is one of the notes of the cigar you will definitely pick it up retrohaling.

Because I like maduro wrappers so much and people think "dark cigar" means it's stronger.I thought I would drop this here:

Here's some interesting information from an email newsletter from cigar.com. Probably old news to many of you.

"Q: I am having a hard time selecting a cigar to suit my taste. I prefer to smoke stronger cigars. Should I be buying more maduro cigars?

A: This is a great question and the answer revolves around one of the biggest myths about cigars. A darker or maduro wrapper does not mean the cigar will be stronger or fuller bodied. Maduro literally means "ripe" in Spanish. A maduro wrapper is not a type of seed or even a specific type of wrapper, but refers to a process by which the tobacco is fermented for a longer period of time at a higher temperature. During this extended process that can be twice or three times longer than the fermentation of most other wrappers, the sugars and oils are drawn out of the leaf. The longer the cigar ferments, the darker the wrapper becomes.

A properly fermented maduro wrapper will actually be considerably milder than most natural wrappers depending on the seed type. A good maduro cigar is very flavorful (a quality that is sometimes mistaken for strength or body) and is often sweet on the lips.

The myth that maduro cigars are stronger originated during the cigar boom of the 1990's, when demand for premium cigars outweighed supply by a vast margin. To turn their tobacco into cash as quickly as possible, many tobacco growers and cigar makers artificially colored stronger unfermented natural wrappers in an attempt to make them look like maduros. This practice is rarely seen today, but the myth these wrappers created lives on.

The body or strength of a cigar is most often determined by its filler not its wrapper. The use of tobacco leaves taken from higher plant primings in the filler (especially those referred to as ligero) create a stronger, more full bodied cigar."

We have similar taste in Cigars (Wrappers) .This is on my radar.

Bet! I know you're going to enjoy both. The Dirty Rat is strong for sure and the La Nox is technically a 'full' but really smokes at a nice 'medium to full' body....great smoke. Let me know what you think.

Yeah...the Ferral Pig usually hovers around $20.00 a stick at your local B&M but it's still right at the top as my favorite cigar! I currently have about 10 resting.....:o
And I actually have a couple of those Andalusian Bull's resting right now but haven't smoked one yet.

Caldwell/Drew Estate = Caldwell's All Out Kings (AOK)
*The 4th Posse*

Yo...did you get them at a B&M? Because I can't find singles sold anywhere....only boxes. If so, would you be willing to share that info (pm if need be) to see if I could get them to ship domestically?

Herrera Esteli T.A.A. is nice! I had the privilege of enjoying a couple. The Caldwell's are decent. Everyone likes them I thought they were ok. I had a few of the Caldwell Long Live The King in the lancero vitola. A few of the Caldwell Blind Man's Bluff in the toro vitola. I liked the Blind Man's Bluff better.

Edit: My bad @M3MD I didn't mention your Cuban Cohiba's up top. That's a very nice stick. You definitely are doing your thang. You have a nice collection of cigars. I bet it's hard for you to make a decision when you dig in your humidor. So many fine choices. That's what's up.

Last year I was gifted a box of Cuban Cohiba Magicos maduro.

Preciate it! I still haven't lit up one of the Cohiba's yet but definitely looking forward to it. Here's a pic of my 'main' humi from a few weeks ago. Been working on stocking up with my favorites....

Those Opus X, though! Those Liga's, though! The Padron 45th & 80th Anniversary, though!
That whole top pic is filled with all my favorites. Damn! This is an Aristocrat's humidor.

For the folks that want to give someone a special cigar on Father's Day, birthdays or whatever occasion; take this pic to a tobacconist and ask them do they have any of these cigars. I will see say the top pic is full of limited and rare cigars. You may or may not be able to find them. The second pic you can't go wrong with either.

Ladies if you're watching this thread and want to do something nice for the man in your life and he enjoys cigars. Anything from the top pic and he will be supremely happy. Again, second pic is spectacular too. First pic is of rare and limited edition cigars.

Sorry @M3MD not trying to put you on blast, but that humi is deserving of praise.

Edit: Yes. I see the Cuban Cohiba in the first pic, but those will be hard to come by unless you go to the islands. And even then you got to know how to tell if they're authentic or not. One clue is does the Cuban cigar you're trying to purchase have a triple cap. No triple cap. Don't purchase. More than likely a fake.

You grabbed a box?

@M3MD @CORNBREAD can you guys give us a review on the new stick from Caldwell? Thanks in advance.

Defintely

Gonna let mine rest for another week or two first though but will give you my thoughts after I light one up

Nah....you good! Appreciate the love and good to see other folks enjoying and appreciating great sticks. I've added some other things since that pic was taken but everything you see is still there. I can assure you the Cohiba's are authentic....and my buddy just got back from Cuba and brought me back even more!

This hobby can get very addicting! And, I've gone on some spending sprees over the past 6 months but reined it in as of recent. It can really start to add up and as you can, there are some pretty expensive sticks in there.

Not sure if you noticed or if aware but those Fuentes in the second pic and on the left are the Anejo #77 Sharks, which are a very limited release and very hard to find. Great stick!

Yeah. I know your Cohiba's are real. I can tell by the pic. I was just giving general advice for some folks who don't know what to look for.

My cigar budget got out of control a couple of years a go. It's easy to spend to spend a lot of money on sticks.

Yeah. I didn't notice the sharks. I was to busy looking at the first pic. I love AF Anejo's. It's almost that time of the year for them to come out again. I had a few Anejo's 77/sharks and a couple Anejo's No.55 last year. They normally come out twice a year for Father's Day and Christmas.

I really don't have one. I am all over the map. And it depends on what time of day it is. I can say that my favorite wrapper is Connecticut Broadleaf or Brazilian Mata Fina, binder - not to choosy, filler - Nicaraguan.
But I guess for an everyday smoke I would lean towards Padron 2000 maduro or Brickhouse maduro. Nothing fancy and they're $5.00 sticks that are rated high.

Damn. I didn't see this. You have some nice smokes! You have a few of my favorites: The RP Decade Lonsdale, Monticristo Epic, Padron 1964 Anniversary, CAO Flathead 660 and Sparkplug, La Aroma de Cuba Noblesse, Julius Caesar, Liga Privada Dirty Rat, OpusX, AVO Nicaragua, Camacho Triple Maduro, Camacho Corojo. Your humi is at a perfect 68% humidity (for me, that is). I didn't realize folks really like the LFD La Nox that came out last year. I really like it and I bought a box. A few folks on here got them in their humi. Nice!

Side note: I remember smoking the Camacho Triple Maduro for the first time it made me light headed. It was around noon when I lit it up and didn't finish until like 3:00pm. I had to put it down and eat, then go back. I can light it up first thing in the morning now. The nicotine won't kick my ass, but that ass kicking was memorable. One good thing came about that day. A very nice important person saw me enjoying it and handed me my first Arturo Fuente Anejo. That was 7 years a go. That was a good day.
