PLASENCIA COSECHA 149 SHIPS TO STORES
Plasencia 1865 has announced that its newest line is now shipping to stores.
The Plasencia Cosecha 149 is a Honduran puro that uses tobacco from the 2014 harvest. The wrapper comes from Olancho, San Agustín, the binder from the Jamastran Valley and fillers from the Jamastran Valley, Olancho and Talanga.
It’s offered in three regular production sizes:
  • Plasencia Cosecha 149 Santa Fe (4 3/4 x 60) — $12 (Box of 10, $120)
  • Plasencia Cosecha 149 La Vega (5 x 52) — $13 (Box of 10, $130)
  • Plasencia Cosecha 149 Azacualpa (6 x 52) — $14.50 (Box of 10, $145)
The name is actually a reference to the 2014 harvest, which was the family’s 149th tobacco harvest. Plasencia did a similar concept with the Plasencia Cosecha 146 in 2017.
I had one of these last week and I was pleasantly surprised. Good stick. Silver ashes…

Lol Damn,. My cheap ass bitching about the 200-300 a month I spend.

Luckily my palate is still trash so I can enjoy cheaper sticks in the 10-20 range. I got a cousin that only smokes 20+ sticks.
Shid, that’s still some bread you can be spending elsewhere. But we have our vices…those damn cigars! Lol

Dude $10-20 range is no where near trash..lol I crack up when folks say that, even about some sub $10 sticks. There are a fair number of so called high priced sticks that are terrible & you're simply paying for the name.

Lol. Who you telling. I was dropping a grand a month on cigars. No mas, though. It’s still high, but not that high. Fuck!

What in the world were you buying? lol Even before I started working in the industry, I never came close to spending that much

I will say sometimes when it was that high I would be buying a Zikar lighter or cutter. But Davidoff’s and Padron Family Reserves and the like will cost you. I don’t do all that anymore I stick to my RoMa craft cigars. However, I am enjoying a RoMa Craft Wunderlust. This joint comes out once a year I believe and it’s a spectacular cigar.

I agree. I was saying my pallette is trash so I can enjoy a range of sticks that others might say is just ok.

Other than the special edition stuff there isn't really anything from Davidoff that I would buy that much of. Luckily at this point I get all that stuff slightly over cost..lol

I see folks picking up the new Cohiba Spectre $1199 a box, $119 a stick msrp..lol Shiddddddddddddddd I may grab a stick just for the hell of it, since that's one of our brands.

I was in a shop & pull a selection of sticks one evening to test this dude that was talking big shit..lol He shitted on the sticks because of the price points, hilarious thing everything I picked that was under $20 is on the CA top 25 list of 2020..lol Damn near everything on that list is well under 20..lol

Nah B, I don’t fuck with the Dominican Cohiba, if it ain’t a Cuban Cohiba I ain’t paying those prices. Those Dominican joints be overpriced and they’re playing on peoples ignorance because they think it’s the same as a Cuban Cohiba. When I was spending that much I was just buying sticks and trying everything. Any type of limited edition cigars I would buy a box. So say when the Liga Unico Series drop…I would buy a box of the UF-13, the flying pig, Feral Pig, the Dirty Rat. You get the picture. Shit like that would add up. I don’t do that anymore. I buy singles and shit now and I smoke less.

If your old lady don’t enjoy cigars it’s hard justifying spending $300 plus on cigars. Lol. That’s why I don’t have one of those.

I rolled up to my cigar spot to catch the Steelers - Vikings with the Aganorsa Leaf Aniversario Maduro (Toro) on deck. You can't just chill without showing support so I picked up the Montecristo by AJ Fernandez
https://halfwheel.com/montecristo-crafted-aj-fernandez-robusto/156599/

The strong aroma from the Ag Leaf was detected before unraveling the bag it came in. Love that *Skunk*...Pungent smell. Why pull the price tag sticker off and unfold the cellophane when you can just V cut it and remove it? Smelled nuthing but *Earth* and *Leather* on the cold draw. I toasted the stogie using their single flame lighter ...and away we go !!! Kickoff !!! I got clouds of smoke from beginning to end. Earth,Leather...and a build up of black peppers .The
peppery aroma didn't last long...and it wasn't overwhelming. It went away after 15 minutes, and never came back.Retrohalers who like the aroma would probably get more enjoyment .The construction was good..no veins or cracks .Patrons was glancing over at what I was puffing probably noticing the Silver and white label..the shit takes up most of the cigar. The ash stayed on for an inch before I had to relight it. The heating system was trash ...had to relight it three times before I finished it. I don't blame the cigar. I should have used my quad flame torch...couldn't find it that night. It felt like a VERY SMOOTH medium to full bodied cigar..and thought I was good til I got the phuck up....Shit thats when I remembered it was a Toro...and the smoke time was well over an hour .The Aganorsa Leaf Aniversario Maduro was (6) by (54). Nuthing but Nicaraguan tobacco from wrapper to filler. I bought my sticks from here is the link https://store.cigarfederation.com/ in case they re-up or you find something else Interesting.Neptune cigars have them right now https://www.neptunecigar.com/cigar/aganorsa-leaf-aniversario-maduro Cigars ...especially my taste are not cheap. These are over $13 each. If you really want a good ..and I mean a really good cigar and recommend this one.You will not regret it. I went ahead and bought more .This is one full bodied cigar that I really enjoyed. These are a must have for your humidor .

Thank you for the review. It’s seems like a very enjoyable cigar. I haven’t seen them in my local B&M yet, so I need to order some online.

That Montecristo by AJ looks nice. I’ve seen those before, but I didn’t buy because of sticker shock ($16.00 plus) for that cigar. I was like no thanks. I will give it a try though. I am a big AJ fanboy. He never misses the mark even on the blends he does that are on the cheap side. Silver ashes, my friend.

Man, we it comes to AJ. I can just saying no matter the cost you’re getting a good stick. He doesn’t miss. I would have to remember all the good sticks he has that on the cheaper side of things. Just sitting here thinking I would say, Last Call, that’s a relative cheaper cigar that is decent. He blends so many cigars for different brands than his own, but you always know you will get a good stick.
