Concealed Carry personal protection thread

I haven't seen the Ruger 9 in person but have seen the Shield Plus. If I didn't already have a P365 & Glock 48, I'd definitely consider that gun as an EDC option. The grip definitely felt more comfortable than my P365 but I know my P365 is more concealable.
i have a S&W sheild 40 and a ruger lcp 380 gen2..

that 380 is tiny i can fit that thing in my front pocket and you can't even tell it's there lol i never leave home without it..

i need a 9 i'm bout to price up that ruger

I need to get something, I can’t carry this mini Ak on my hip.

Can I keep it in my truck tho?
Like others said in here it's not a good idea to leave it in your car/truck. I'd carry mine with me for treks to unfamiliar cities & states but have a bookbag to carry it with me once I leave my car. I also have a pistol I keep in the cabin area that I can quickly access so I never have to worry about trying to reach around a seatbelt to get to my EDC. For that gun I have a Vaultek lifepod that is secured via a cable lock & even then I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving that gun in the car. Fortunately when I'm home the car is in my garage instead of out in the open.

its another gun show at the end of the month........going back to get another AR.
the Misses wants a small 9 or .380 to carry as well.....
Going with the misses tomorrow to pick up her 1st pistol. She's getting a Sig P365XL. She liked it after holding my P365. I felt her getting the XL would be even better as the slide would be a little easier to rack & not be as snappy on the recoil as the regular 365. As for me I'm in the process of building a precision AR in 6.5 Grendel from scratch but I might pick up another lower for a future project

after i got one of my guns stolen out of my truck, i never leave it in.
when i get out,....my gun gets out with me.

Never EVER leave guns in your car. DEFINITELY not in Atlanta.
So what y'all do when you go somewhere that doesn't allow guns and has metal detectors, like the airport or court/city hall?

i take my gun with me when i fly. i bypass the kiosk and go str8 up to the desk and let them know that i'm checking a firearm.
they'll have you open your suitcase....and make sure that the gun is in a secure lockbox, and it has to have a TSA approved lock on it (which is available at walmart...has a "TSA" logo thing on it). They mark your suitcase as "HEAVY", so that it goes on a different shoot than normal luggage, so that the luggage handlers treat it with care and are not just tossing it the fuck around. Whenever u get to your destination, your luggage is taken off separately from the rest and taken to an office near baggage claim, where you have to go and provide your ID to retrieve your luggage.

Bruh, you do not have to put a TSA lock on it and personally I don't.
Many of them baggage handlers have master keys. If TSA needs you to open that box then they will call you. No one should have that key or combination but you.

Well they made me take my lock off and get a TSA approved lock.
I've flown many times with my chit, got called once. Never told to put a TSA lock. They have to call you if needed. They should not be able to open or close that at their will. Look it up.

Unless something changed, but I flew to FL twice earlier this year. Never even seen TSA, just showed it to the ticketing agent, they say TSA don't even bother half the time with handguns, just long guns mostly is when they usually need to see "you".

Even here it says "do not use TSA approved locks"
