I feel like people, particularly men, need to have their own. The same way you'd read about women depending on their men to do this and they control things, men can be in similar predicaments. Your business and your marriage is your own, so no judgement, but one of the things that is grinding your gears is having to ask and her saying no. No person, man or woman wants to go through that. You wife seems like a keeper and will hold you down. I'd suggest a compromise, have her help you work towards becoming your own owner operator (I hear there are good trucks at auctions to get) so that way you can choose your loads during the day and home at night. Or work on getting a fleet of trucks so that way you can have your own business and pool resources. Put some away for a just in case (you never now). More importantly, talk to her and explain your reasonings why. Even if she does not understand or won't help, she will understand your reasoning why you will keep pushing forward to see your own goals through.

I just came home from prison a year ago and my wife is highly successful. I help her out with her businesses and things. However when I was in I set goals for myself and one was getting my Cdl license. I work local home daily but it’s nights. She wants me to quit for many reasons. Some of them are the money isn’t a major contribution to the house because she makes enough to take care of the family. The other reason is because she wants me there at night. However without me working I have subjected to asking her for every little thing. Then sometimes she would say no because she didn’t think I needed whatever it was. That’s what lead me to going to work! ADVICE please‼️
