You'll notice I said, "at the least." You have to be careful. If you go for a stiffer charge, you must provide more proof. And in that scenario, it's quite possible a not guilty would come back for reasonable doubt.
Don't get me wrong, I think she should get the needle, and those cover-up cops should all lose their jobs but you have to do it right so she doesn't skate.
And then there's the sentencing. So, she's convicted for murder 1. So what? The judge might not agree with murder 1 and give the lightest sentence possible.

The prosecution asked Rivera if it was common for police to take a person's phone as evidence. He couldn't commit to an answer because a definite would have totally fucked Amber.
