I really don't see this shit as any victory.
And all this whooping, dancing, and hollering don't mean shit if the sentence doesn't even come close to matching her crime.

What are we going to do then?
This Bitch may end up getting the lightest sentence imaginable.

I don't see this bitch only getting 5 years. Not with this jury, but you never know

That is where I am at with this right now. Justice is only served if she serves time that fits the gravity of the crime.

Damn, her supervisor recommended her to internal affairs!?!
Because she had someone in cuffs arrested, he got away. She didn't report it to her supervisor on duty. She called the one who reported her, when it was his day off. So the next day when he came in, he had to report her.

She really has the mentality to get away with stuff by calling for help all the time.

You always appeal.... You wouldn't do your job as as a Defense Attorney if you didn't file an appeal.

Even this shit right now... the judges decisions on certain items to be excluded can be grounds for appeal.

Everything in the trial..... Objections, statements, exhibits ... can be something to seek an appeal on... The key is what the Appeal's court will do.

What her attorney is doing now.. Is laying grounds..

This is also why sentencing is typically not on the same day. Sentencing is basically another trial.

Heh. Yeah, we know that. But how about some nutra cake and three squares a day until we hash that shit out? Btw we need her to wear these inmate clothes and shit like that there. Yknow. Just to make sure she looking like she really incarcerated and not just a visitor and whatnot. Oh, the appeal you speak of...let’s look at like say.... 2 to 5 years?

Jurors were allowed to weigh Texas' so-called "Castle Doctrine" after the judge overruled the prosecution's attempt to keep it out of jury instructions. Texas' self-defense statute allows for a person to use force when they reasonably believe it's "immediately necessary" to protect themselves against another person's use of unlawful force. The Castle Doctrine, which is similar to "Stand Your Ground" laws in other states, allows such force to be used "in the protection of a home, vehicle or other property if someone attempts to forcibly enter or remove an individual from the premises," according to the Texas Penal Code.
Fine told the jury the statute shouldn't apply to Guyger because she was intruding into Jean's apartment.

"[Jean] has the right to shoot that person under the Castle Doctrine, not the other way around," Fine said.

The judge also allowed jurors to be instructed on Texas' "mistake of fact" statute, a defense based on a person forming a "reasonable belief" based on a mistake that negates "the kind of culpability required for commission of the offense."

In returning the guilty verdict, the jury rejected both defenses. They also had the option to find Guyger guilty of the lesser charge of manslaughter but convicted her on the murder charge.

That’s the beauty of it! The ol Jedi mind trick! Did Castle Doctrine apply? No sir!:D Amber was intruder and assailant. Then, murderer. That would only apply if Jean had killed her cave dwelling ass. Take....this L Amber. That jumpsuit is being sized up for yo ass!
