Deion Sanders offered the Colorado job- Official Colorado season thread

Not worried. We knew it was gonna get ugly. Oregon had the better foundation in the trenches, recruiting history. I like coaches talking a little - just want to see the black athlete continue to try wrestle power from the university and coaches. Doesn’t matter if it’s for or against Deion.

Deion took an ass whooping well. I still think “do you believe” is beyond just this year. Folks had him 4-8. I see the inverse. Next year, I see more hogs and talent coming.

Colorado themselves haven’t been on “sucker shit”. The people defending them and posting on social have. The Oregon coach is funny though. Just like the CSU coach. Can’t deny that
I would put some of the blame on coach Prime. He said in his recent press conference “Teams are trying to beat me” hopefully that will eventually register with coach Prime. He may have to tone it down some.

Prime is a polarizing person whose gravity attracts major attention. Prime is use to this kind of attention but his young ball club may struggle with it. They are not seasoned or veterans of dealing with this kind of media attention.

I don’t even know why you post this. It’s like me whooping your ass. Then your cousin whooping my ass. And now you bragging about your cousin beating my ass.

Oregon and the rest of the teams Colorado played, is exciting to watch. We seeing some young black men showcase their talent. This week Oregon RB and Wr was getting busy! Shilo brought the headache game to one of them RB. But then the WR truck Shilo on the sideline.

Has absolutely nothing to do with Colorado getting whooped my guy. Has more to do with the coach and his motivations. Dude went for it on 4th and Goal already up 35-0. And we all know why…even you.

I didn't like this speech. "They re all flash...." dude they were 3 - 0 in their first year. Fuck you mean "all flash"?

Its simply hate...and we all know its low key white hate on some ole "Who is this uppity n$$$$r over there thinking he's winning?"

but no one wants to talk about that.

No doubt. But that’s okay. The landscape is already changing. Brothas are already starting to understand their worth.

Dan Lanning and others talk that shit, but they have to use Black athletes to get there (same as Deion).

I like what Deion is doing at Colorado and the chances he is giving Black coaches. Everything is about recruiting and getting an edge.

I feel you. But there is hype every year normally not with a team but a Heisman hopeful. Look at all that Nike did for Joey Harrington in Oregon. What had he won before the hype, nothing and what did he win, nothing. Even got drafted by the Lions and still did nothing. Jake Locker was hyped up also. Michigan has been hyped up for years. Scott Frost had Nebraska and the media hyped cause of his good year at UCF and dude never won more than 5 games in a season.

Correct they have won nothing. My thing is literally one man turned a team from the gutter to hey look at us and people are pissed when they win to laughing when they lose. Yes, they probably need to be humbled.

Maybe because i dont root for a single team anymore, just love the sport. Normally, coaches need at least 3 years to get the players needed but he has made an instant impact. He had the Wu Tang Clan at the stadium, haha
If you want to be the roll of Villains then you must back it up. Colorado simply is not ready for that role. Any team in any sports that gets all the attention becomes the “Villains”

People hated Golden state with KD. But the Dubs had the talent to back it up. This current Buffs teams don’t have the talent to back it up yet

Wack ass tweet, people were actually thinking Colorado would go in there and win. GA isn’t the same kind of team as Colorado. Colorado is flashy and has a documentary camera following them. They went to the stadium and stepped all on the O. Of course the Ducks gave them work . Second of all this year Ducks would shit all over and batter the Bulldogs.QUACK!!!!!!!!!

Pretty classless and poor sportsmanship on the part of the Oregon coach to denigrate the team his team had just soundly defeated.
I'm no fan of Lanning, but I think the majority of that shit he talked was PRE game... his post game media interview was toned down:

"..We were prepared for a battle. It didn’t end up being a battle, but I have also been on the other end of this before, too, and I think that team is headed in the right direction. I think Coach [Deion Sanders] is doing a phenomenal job. Obviously, he has brought great enthusiasm and response from his players, and I know that they will bounce back from this. On the same note, I get a little passionate at times, a little excited about what I want to accomplish for our team, and I just want to say I need to humble myself a little bit..."

USC will physically wear them out (L)
+ ASU will make it a game at home the following week, but lose. (W)
+ Stanford can press the pocket and run the ball. This is one I think CU gives up (L)
+ UCLA and Oregon State will pound them (L, L)
+ Arizona is a W for them
+ Back on the Tubesteak express for WSU and Utah (L, L)

That’s 5-7. A big improvement over 1-11.

But it’ll be seen as a major disappointment because of the hype.

Respect. @BrownTurd @Dr. Truth @ANGRY MAN

Now this is why I posted what I posted. Just like Buffs got humbled, Oregon Coach realized he needed to be humble cuz clearly he’s been there before.

You're right, I misread an article I read elsewhere. Thanks!

Just got stomped out and Sanders jr is laughing about jewelry

I guess he realize it's just a game. Most likely he has felt that way for a minute, and reason why he never perused a life in sports. It's has to be hard being name Deion Sanders Jr. and being ask "Why you aren't like your daddy"

It true, even the great ones take a beating. Florida whopped Miami ass. Totally embarrassed UM and we went on to win the national championship that same year.

Ultimately, I think Colorado ends up 5-7 which is much better than 1-11. Mario Cristobal, went 5-7 in his first season at UM and took some massive beat downs. Look at UM now. Because of recruiting and the portal, we have one of the most physical offensive lines in the country and a stout defensive line. Those were none existent a year ago. Now we are a potential playoff team. The same Texas A&M team we loss to last year, UM smacked 48-33

In a coached 1st season with a losing program, beat downs will happen.

everybody seen this coming from colorado.....each of the 3 previous teams put up damn near 40 on em. they stay on their path they'll be fine tho. i had no problem with what lanning said, he was coaching up his players, bringing that fire to them and it resonated. no problem with their playcalling. you show a team you in a position to do what you want then when you get ready...you call off the dogs. give a few years the buffs will get there. i don't think that line will get fixed in one year. you can plug in skill players out the portal. but putting together a formidable line... the pieces gotta fit and have game time experience together. that's gonna take time.

Colorado had all these problems during the first 3 games. Oregon was just too good for the Buffs to over come them. Against Nebraska and Colorado state they were able to over come the obvious flaws.

Some were saying “Turd you hater”. Most teams maybe play one or two top 25 teams a year. The Buffs got 7. That’s brutal.

Before Mario left for Miami, he left Oregon with a loaded team, especially in the trenches. Prime has a bunch of portal kids.

Trust me Buff fans. We at Miami been through this trying to rebuild. Your wins will come in recruiting. That is where you get the last laugh. The last two years Miami has been on a tear in recruiting. Just win the recruiting battles
