As Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes make headlines for their performance on the field this year, one of the program's top recruits is making headlines off of it.

Aaron Butler, a four-star recruit in the 2024 class and the Buffaloes' top commit for this cycle, is currently going viral for his shirtless physique.

"Colorado commit Aaron Butler is JACKED!" MaxPreps tweeted.

It's certainly impressive.

"He has a 3.0 QPA and is on track to graduate a semester early in December. Discipline anywhere should beget discipline everywhere," one fan wrote.

"what they feeding that man? Aaron Butler looks like he eats a bowl of greatness every morning Colorado Football will be great this year but I'm telling yall Class of 24 is bringing something different," one fan added.

"Damn Hercules get after it," one fan added.

"Coming in looking like DK Metcalf," another fan wrote.

It'll be fun to watch Butler in Boulder.

Halfway to bowl eligibility, Deion Sanders weighs in on NCAA postseason bans

Coach Prime says he understand both sides of getting "a whoopin"

John Brice14 hours ago
Surprisingly, Deion Sanders has his inaugural Colorado Buffaloes football team midway to bowl eligibility.

Well, the surprise is to everyone except Coach Prime and the Colorado players.

This week, Colorado – which spent multiple weeks ranked in the national top 25 polls before dropping out after back-to-back losses to Oregon and USC – is visiting Arizona State and its first-year coach, Kenny Dillingham.

NCAA officially limits initial counter rules, unlimited signing classes now available

The Sun Devils, through no fault of Dillingham nor the overwhelming majority of current players, are not eligible for postseason play; ASU athletics director Ray Anderson had his Sun Devils’ football program voluntarily impose a postseason ban despite no current coaches being involved in the football program’s NCAA violations.

Though not in an NCAA quagmire, Sanders knows well the toll of inheriting a downtrodden program.

Also, Coach Prime knows that sometimes a preemptive strike is better than a thorough lashing.

“My mom used to hand out whoopins back in the day,” Deion Sanders said this week. “So, if I did something stupid, I was like, ‘Mom, you know what, I don’t even want to go to the game tonight. I’m not even going.’ Because I know that would lessen the whoopin.

“So, if that’s what they’re doing, I understand. Because I’ve done that before. ‘Mom, I ain’t going to the fair. I’m good. You ain’t gotta spend no more money on me, I’m straight.’”

While the Sun Devils are, by the school’s own choice, not eligible for postseason play following the 2023 season, they are nonetheless showing strong fight under their first-year coach.

Last week, ASU – despite quarterback injuries and poor play – had an opportunity to take a fourth-quarter lead against undefeated, College Football Playoff contender USC and also came up just three points short in a road game at California.

Coach Prime, leaning into his program’s detractors and supporters, indicated his Colorado program has set out to still prove a point.

“First of all, hate – that comes along with the territory,” Deion Sanders said. “You know that. The love has been tremendous. Like I reiterate every week, just walking out there to a packed stadium, seeing the pandemonium around the city, seeing the friends and family members that’s coming in the airports with all the Colorado apparel on. Driving into the stadium and seeing all ethnicities in unity, I love it. The love nationally, even from the celebs that you see and ones in luxury boxes you don’t see, and the faithfuls.

“I have the absolutely utmost respect, because they all believe. And you all believe. Not all of you believe, but maybe 85% of you believe.”

Best believe Deion will be working overtime to get some monsters in the trenches. Especially on that D-Line.

Word is Warren Sapp will be a D-Line coach for Colorado next season.

I mean if I'm a lineman I'd go to Colorado for next season. The NFL scouts will be on you for sure if you a DAWG.

this shows the difference between a filmmaker (someone who tells stories thru moving pictures), a documentarian (someone exposing the reality of an issue as its happening) and a social media content maker (someone whose savvy at drawing attention to themselves.)

How his videos open is very telling...it features himself. Which suggests he's more interested in drawing attention whether its his family or himself than actually showing the ins and outs in the development of a football team. Its not enough to show endless footage of drills and practice....WHATS THE STORY? what's the NARRATIVE and they need to control their own narrative.

Understand I'm NOT hating on him....I'm just annoyed to see so much potential go unrealized. What is Bucky? A reality tv show producer or a documentarian?? There's a huge gap between Jersey Shore and Hoop Dreams. A reality show is essentially loose dramedy (that's mostly fabricated thru editing) and a documentary shows the reality of people involved in a thing as its happening BUT thru a narrative that has a point. Poor kids busting their ass to make a college team because this is their ticket out of poverty. That's a narrative that's compelling because it makes you relate to the struggles of the people involved.

There's all kinds of stories in that locker room among the team and staff he could be featuring that he's not.

How are they balancing the STUDENT part of student/athlete???
How are the portal transfers and true freshmen adjusting to this new system??
What do the students left over from the old regime think about the new changes??
How's the coaching staff and trainers getting the students up to speed on how to play the game under Prime's playbook?

Theres so much he could tap into if he just organized how he's shooting his stuff. If he does it right that gives his videos even more value even if the team isnt doing well. Because a losing streak only makes the stakes higher for the people involved and if we see the development and the pitfalls shown in a concise way then it makes it all the more watchable.

Thats why I said winning counts for A LOT...cuz as long as the teams wins people will accept any bullshit he puts out. But the second their record takes a downward turn people will lose interest in his meandering vlogs that dont show anything interesting. And that will effect his numbers which means he's dependent on the success of the team in a real way. That's the issue of social media.

A person who knows how to tell a compelling story thru images wouldn't be adversely effected if the team goes on a losing streak or turns out their just not that good. In fact that would work for him just as well because of all the heightened tension.

A documentarian or a social media content maker...he needs to concentrate on being one or the other because hes not good enough at this point to be a combination of both.
Send this shit to the buffs media team fam

Sometimes it seem like folks, from this side, have issues with him because he acts the way he does…
which have been the same way as long as I recall

What rule did he violate?

More specifically, what has he done that other coaches don't do?
Nothing major but as I mentioned in another post, Prime probably has the compliance department on edge lol.

What slip up was with McClain. He stated that he demands that his players watch film and if they don’t they are punished or held accountable by not playing.

Coaches only have 20 hours per week and they can’t demand anything outside those windows. As that would be an infraction. You know teams are sending reports to the NCAA

It makes me nervous about celebrities on the sidelines as the risk of improper benefits is a high risk

funny you post this because early in the week I was reading predictions about our bowl. Many talking head have us playing in Shreveport, La for the Independence Bowl

I kinda figured with the top TV rating so far, this team should be a hot commodity

Didn't Deion day he don't fuck with FSU anymore and that he graduated from a small hbcu?
I am not sure what the beef is between him and FSU. I have not seen him bring any Alumni to the sidelines. Then again, there may not be any beef and FSU alumni are declining to show support because of their ties to FSU.

I graduated from an HBCU [Historically Black Colleges and Universities],” retorted Deion, who received his degree from Talladega College in 2020. “I thought it was from where you graduated from, isn’t it? Why do you keep calling me that [a ‘Nole] if it wasn’t where I graduated from? I’m an HBCU grad.”

It seemed like a peculiar and unnecessary exchange. Sanders could have easily promoted HBCUs while still acknowledging what playing for Florida State meant to him. Who knows? Maybe Deion is upset that FSU didn’t seriously consider him for its head-coaching position back in 2019 — even though the Seminoles did interview him when he didn’t yet have a college degree and his only experience was as a high school coach.

Whatever the case, Deion’s diss of FSU wasn’t lost on many Seminole fans and former players.

“Deion has been very unkind to the school that made him great, and we have no idea what we have done to earn his contempt,” says Rick Camarata, a longtime season-ticket holder from Orlando.

Tweeted FSU quarterbacking great Danny Kanell after Deion’s odd response to the reporter’s “Nole” question: “Wow, the lack of respect for the school that gave him his start is wild. The same school that retired his jersey. The same school that let him be Prime. There is a way to handle this question and this ain’t it.”

The University's of Miami shut that down. We almost received the death penalty because of it. Our sidelines use to be full of celebrities. Because of the major infractions that we received, we even stopped former players from having access to the sidelines.

We just recently begin allowing alumni to return to the sideline and practices. Us Miami fans be paranoid about celebs on the sideline because one more infraction and we will get the death penalty.

Prime ticket: ASU sells out game on Saturday against Colorado

BY STEPHEN GUGLIOCIELLO
Arizona Sports
Oct 5, 2023, 5:25 PM | Updated: 5:25 pm
The Arizona State game on Saturday against Colorado in Tempe may not be in prime time, but it certainly is a prime ticket.

The ASU football X account posted on Thursday that the game was officially sold out.

Tickets are still available on the second-hand market.

However, it’ll cost you.

The cheapest second-hand ticket on Ticketmaster on Thursday afternoon was $85. If you want to sit at midfield on the Buffaloes side of the field, tickets reach $495 a ticket.

Those prices, however, do not include fees.

It’s the second-straight home game the Sun Devils have sold out, having packed at Mountain America Stadium against USC on Sept. 23. With a packed house, ASU went punch-for-punch with the Trojans before 2022 Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams and Southern Cal pulled away for the 42-28 win.

Saturday’s game will also feature a showdown between Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders and the man who attempted to recruit him to Auburn, Arizona State head football coach Kenny Dillingham.

Dillingham, who was the offensive coordinator under Gus Malzahn in 2019, attempted to recruit Sanders, the son of “Coach Prime” Deion Sanders, while he was a 17-year-old signal-caller out of Trinity Christian School in Cedar Hill, Texas.

The ASU coach had nothing but the highest of praise for the Buffalos quarterback on Monday, calling him “smart” and “cerebral.”

The Sun Devils take on the Buffaloes on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Tune to the Arizona Sports app or ESPN 620 AM to listen.

Deion Sanders has increased Colorado's merchandise sales by more than 1200% year-to-date

By Chris Bengel
moments ago • 1 min read
Deion Sanders' impact on the University of Colorado's football program has been unquestionably massive, and now he has two more stats to prove it. According to Front Office Sports, the school's online team store merchandise sales have increased 1,220% from September 2022 to September 2023, and the year-to-date sales are up 51% since Deion Sanders became the Buffaloes head coach.

In addition, the University of Colorado's out-of-state student applications have increased by 40%, Colorado chancellor Phillip DiStefano told TIME. DiStefano is calling Sanders' impact "transformational."

TIME is also reporting that "Coach Prime" and his team are organizing a half-hour comedy show regarding his career with actor Kevin Hart's media company.

"People are drawn to hope," Sanders said. "We're pulling people in, man, that just want a chance to be seen, to be heard, to be noticed, to be recognized."

Sanders' move to Colorado resulted in over $45 million in earned media money for the school, according to the Apex Marketing Group. The school has also seen a 42% increase in sponsorship revenue.

Colorado got off to a 3-0 start behind quarterback Shedeur Sanders. However, Colorado has dropped back-to-back contests to Pac-12 foes Oregon and USC, but nearly erased a 27-point deficit against the Trojans last week.

Some more recruiting notes. This is one you should keep an eye on. I can‘t vouch for these insiders as I am not familiar with them but there seems to be some interest in Colorado. I would say if a visit is schedule then look out. But I would keep an eye on this one
