Colorado's offensive line is very problematic from the few games I've observed.
In a nut shell they are soft on pass protection but I especially have a concern with the left tackle 6' 10'' 315 lbs. Gerad Christian-Lichtenhan.
The guy may be intimidation to look at but he's nothing more than a stiff statue with limited lateral movement and no bend in his knees to push a defender forward.
Damn near every game I see the defensive ends and linebackers spin off of him or run around him with ease and sack the quarterback.
He's a 6' 10'' Redwood tree , So I think he should be reassigned to special teams to block field goals because he's ineffectual as an offensive tackle in my opinion.
His line needs an overhaul

Nah I disagree, Colorado has 5 games left, 4 of those teams are in the Top 20 with only 1 loss each, this loss came at the worst possible time, you go from going confident into your bye week 5-2 ready to face those teams to now 4-3 with an unimaginable loss. Colorado gonna have to really do something special when they play UCLA or they're going to lose the rest of these games
Youre looking at it from the POV of a person who hit the lottery for 1 billion bucks then gets raging angry about the taxes taken out that only leaves them with 500m...you made a 2 dollar investment and you got 500m but your mad about losing the 500 million you never had in the first place.

You gotta remember NO ONE thought the buffs would be in a position to go to a bowl game much less have a winning record at this point in the season. If they end up being 500. and not going to a bowl would the season REALLY be disappointing??? considering the team was literally remade over this summer past...

Everyone is so wrapped up by their potential and what they COULD do rather than looking at them for what they ARE and what they realistically can do in their first year.

No matter what their record is this season its STILL many positive gains.

@pookie is correct. This loss was devastating. They would’ve been one win away from being bowl eligible. After Stanford, the schedule is brutal and it’s already tough to win one of those games but now they have to win two.

yeah loss was bad and avoidable...but what did you think their record was going to be before the season started?? Weren't they supposed to lose their first two games?? Their record at this point was slated to be inverted 3-4 at most right??

I’m starting to wonder if Coach Prime is overly focused on padding Shedueur’s stats. They are way too focused on the pass game. Their RBs average good yardage per carries but they don’t commit to the run to build a rhythm. They don’t have the offensive line to throw the ball every down.

Nah, it's not that. Colorado just cannot consistently run the ball. Especially inbetween the tackles. If colorado could run the ball well, Shadeur would have even better numbers.

And they could milk the clock better with a large lead.

Colorado blew a 29 point lead. That comes with criticism. That’s just unacceptable
oh MOST DEF!!! forget criticism....in the meeting after the last game of the season Deion should walk into that room and say...don't get comfortable...many of yall better get ready to jump into the portal!

But this is about being disappointed they lost and very likely wont make a bowl game. Who actually thought that was possible for the first season??? honestly?? Considering the buffs were 1-11 and losing games by an average of 30 points and had more losing seasons than winning in the last 20 years...ANY wins over 1 is a marked improvement.

So in reality they aren't high achieving...it looks like they're right on development schedule. Which means they're ORDINARY.

ya'll are operating off the hype and not the reality.

Colorado has not consistently ran the ball. They have been horrible in the red zone in obvious short yardage situations but have ran the ball well in other situations. Hankerson is averaging 4.3 yards a carry and has broke multiple long yardage runs with few opportunities. Smoke,Mcaskill, and Wilkerson hasn’t gotten many opportunities. Edwards is used primarily for screen passes. Colorado needs more balance because Defenses are increasing focus on stopping the Colorado’s pass game and putting Colorado’s Defense on the field.

IMO Colorado caught teams off guard with their up tempo offense and opposing teams did not know much about their defensive personnel. Going forward, teams are going to focus on stopping the pass and increasing pressure on Shedeur. They will also be more successful against their Defense.

Nah I go by what I see on the field not what was said before the season even started, Colorado had been a winning team this year, won some close ones and lost a close one, I can't look at this loss to Stanford and go "well last year they only won one game"

You right this lost was devastating, I remember you telling me that Arizona state and Stanford were games they should win especially the Stanford game. You up 29-0 at half and you blow that game... Smh! As you been saying their O line and D line are not good, then there's the lack of discipline. Oh yeah the defense has been terrible. All that being said I'm rooting for Deion, there has been much improvement but there is still much more work to be done.

They have to stop the no huddle offense in the second half though

Yeah but its about a buildup. He needs to keep recruiting and win if he can get into a bowl game that will help he has to find a way to get two wins in a tough schedule

Yeah Deion is hurting his defense keeping these games long with that up tempo scheme.

Unless ya'll bet money on this game and are invested in this team in a real way....its not a "devastating" loss just a really disappointing one because you see the potential.

hey if you wanna insist on looking at the glass half empty when it was previously dry with dust at the bottom... I dunno what to tell ya..:dunno::dunno::dunno: you're looking at losing the POTENTIAL of something NO ONE thought would happen in the first place.

Hell even if they do somehow pull off two wins (still possible)...considering their glaring weaknesses and increasingly undisciplined play and growing egos...what are the REALISTIC odds they'll actually WIN a bowl game in theyre FIRST year?? Mind you Prime didnt do that at JSU.

And IF/WHEN they lose that bowl game youre going to say... "well last year they only won one game":dunno::dunno::dunno:....you know it....I know it...we ALL know it...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I'm just reminding you at this point but yall insist on having a pity-party about this loss and ya'll don't want hear it.:giggle:

Cause nobody wanna hear that positive shit if any other team blew a 29 pt lead they would be the joke of the wk

They just have to lay in it until their next win. Winning changes everything it's the cure for anything. This loss will haunt them regardless. Most ppl would rather get blown out like the Oregon game than sum shit like this but I'm still rooting for them and will be tuned in I'm not betting on them again. But all they have to do is win sum games and it helps for next season.

I love the love Colorado is getting, but I almost pass out laughing when one of their delusional fanatics mention winning a "natty" in 2 or 3 years. Mfs aint sniffing no natty anytime soon, Deion is Deion, and he can recruit, but he'll never outrecruit Georgia, Bama, OSU, the list goes on and on...

Just having a moment to check in… been kinda on the go since the game ended at 1am.
Helping making sure a bus ride for the Saints vs the Texans is a successful.
I just want to say, for everyone who gives events, y’all are fucking soldiers.

Especially hosting events in another state for 100 plus people…

But anyway it’s still Colorado, we got work to do…. Gotta do the small things

We have a bye week so we’ll talk about this defeat for a sec…

I ain’t bailing the bandwagon, hell I might wear my Horn Jr jersey to the saints vs Texas game.

Yea that's where the lack of running game comes in. They can't get good rushing yardage in between the tackles.

And the standard passes with a huddle gives the opposing defense time for substitutions and adjustments.

Deion has to get some road graders on the oline this upcoming off-season. That and some pass rushers on the D-Line will be his top priority.

Again I'm basing everything I've said off what they've done/ had done this year and based on what they've done this year how they lost this game, the time of season they lost this game and their upcoming schedule this was a devastating loss. If this loss haunts them and they end up going 4-8 there is no way I'm going to fall back on that “well last year“ line because this wasn't the same exact team from last year and I saw this team perform and can point to where I felt they lost it. Now if they do pull off a couple wins and get to a bowl game but lose I'll say they had a good season because of this being their first season as a brand new team with new head coach

We'll see when its time for his players to get drafted. All glamour aside, a lot of these guys are trying to get to the league, and be drafted high preferably. The majority of the best players will always go to the proven pipeline.

I disagree. I predict Coach Prime will out recruit those teams. Imagine 3 years from now and your son being is a 5 star Defensive Lineman. Deon Sanders, Mike Strahan, and Warren Sapp sit on your living room couch to convince you to come to Colorado who was 11-1 last year narrowly losing to OSU in the Big 12 Championship. They are the most televised team in the NCAA with Heisman Candidate Bryce Young as the QB, and Heisman Candidate Dillion Edwards coming back as the RB. The Defense is stacked and the Dline position coach has years of experience coaching Dline in the NFL. The following weeks Kirby Smart, Ryan Day, and [insert CAC Coach] comes to your house with some other CACs to recruit your son. Are you telling me that you wouldn’t even consider Colorado?
