This is true. But those guys come with guaranteed money. Honestly I have no idea what's going on. A #2? Because if Rose, Melo and Zingus can play 60+ games the Knicks are in the playoffs. Porzingis is going to regress playing with both. The Knicks should have gotten rid of Melo in favor of letting Porzingis develop greater as a player.

He got hurt, so I'd never call him a disappointment. But the trajectory of his career changed, and his attitude got to the point where it was clear he needed a change of scenery. I'm not mad he got traded, I'm pissed they didn't get 1 person they could actually build with. Just 2 OK players that used to be above avg, and a guy I've never heard of. Now you have a hole at PG, and lack a legit 15-20 ppg scorer. Jimmy isn't THE guy. He needs to be the 2nd or 3rd best player on your team, but now he's the guy...
