As lame as she looks I would listen to her over the majority of these drill rappers.

Had family back there you ain't never lied they had one of the few houses that had no issues but that smell sometimes was :puke: Best time to visit was during the winter when that shit damn near frozen. Some of the cacs didn't like my family being back there especially when they had get togethers , they moved out of there early 90s there house isn't even there anymore.

There has always been a STRANGE mix of people, for Detroit, in that area. Retired white cops, survivalist types. People from my old neighborhood (you don't wanna live with them). They like guns. But that side of town is rough as hell these days. If you don't live on Manistique, you probably should avoid it, for example.

Some of those houses are/were owned by people who have lived in the Pointes for generations. Their boat houses were there before it was a residential neighborhood.

I had the chance to buy a really small, 1 br cottage on Ashland about 12 years ago, for $25k. It had a boat house next to it, and was on the canal. But there was this WEIRD assed white dude living next door, who kept talking about how he and the x-cop two doors down regularly performed vigilante duties in the neighborhoods while brandishing their large caliber revolvers.

And then there were the zombie types that wandered through the area a little too regularly for my taste.

Not really the kind of people I want to live next door to, or want walking around my house.

You could smell that damned canal around the corner and down the street on Jefferson! All kinds of shit jetting by when they opened the drain: furniture, dead animals, sewage, boat parts, things you would not imagine. About 30% of the time, when the light was right, by a full moon, it was beautiful.

A WHOLE lot of the time, it was hell.
