Also, we have better make-up, especially for black women, and the studio lights are way better because way back in the 60s they had those hard-ass non-diffusion spot lights for the live studio, giving them a much older look as opposed to the modern softboxes that are designed to soften your skin while hiding wrinkles. And if it was in high contrast black and white, that shit looked even worse.
