‘From peewee to little league, to junior varsity, to varsity, to college in any team sport once the game was over the losers congratulated the victors so no way that was the norm. Only time congratulations arent given is when a bunch of sore losers can’t handle being beaten so they try to fight and do stuff like this
But why wasn't it an issue when they great white hype and his team did it? Cuz niggaz don't feel like he disrespect their idol. That's all.
Yea okAgreed
Because we either didn’t see it or it wasn’t put in front street.
I saw the Pistons vs Bulls and remember it. I don’t remember seeing the Celtics and Pistons and if I did, I’d call the Celtics some bitches too.
Bulls were physically beat up and still showed respect to the Pistons when they lost. Once the Pistons lost, they slithered to the locker room with their tails between their legs. Zeke even ducking in shame on the way out. Real cowardly.

And Zeke isn’t underrated, he was a great player that no one liked. That includes his NBA peers and fans. Only Detroit fans like him so they’re they only ones that talk about him.
But everyone knows and respect how good Zeke was. But why speak about someone that you don’t like or respect their character?![]()
Jordan was talking hoe-shit during the series. Nigga said the Pistons didn't earn their titles.. fuck shaking his hand.
OK
You wrote all that.
What about when Boston did it?
Please drop an essay on that.

Zeke aint no coward.
When Rodman dissed Bird and the WORLD was about to come down he stood tall and took all the heat.
Same for his errant pass.
Thats what i mean
all that don't popularity contest stuff overshadows his and that teams greatness
All damn day every sports show been saying the same thing.
This isn't new
Bad boy pistons were not and STILL have not been properly celebrated by basketball as a whole.
Bad boy pistons were not and STILL have not been properly celebrated by basketball as a whole.
It was psychologically beatdowns more than physical beatdowns. The Pistons punked players that were punks. The hard foul was to make you be scared to come back into the lane...it worked with players like pippen who didn't want that smoke.
I don't agree
as you can see now many many knew and remember
And now that you know?
Adjust and make sure you add Boston name every time
because with this new information
for you at least
you now understand EXACTLY why detroit did what they did how they did.
So all that coward talk etc don't apply
Naw he didn't see or recall any of that fam
I knew Shannon wasn’t gonna roast Skip about Phil telling Mike to use his teammates..lol
In fairness to them with shit shutdown ain't nothing to talk about. Just imagine if they hadn't moved this documentary up. They'd still be talking about Brady going to TBI live undisputed but they need more new material besides the Lebron and MJ talk

when Detroit actually had to play bball and not dirty tactics they loss.. They act like some bitches when they were force to use talent and not rely on being violent bullies... Yeah ok.
Bad Boys for Life
It was cowardly for Boston not to shake hands with Zeke and the Pistons.
It was cowardly for Boston not to shake hands with Lebron when the Heat won.
It was cowardly for Embiid not to shake hands when the Sixers lost.
I’ve adjusted the term to fit all the teams that it applies to. If you’d like to mention other incidents in the past where this profile fits, I’ll call that act cowardly too.
Do you “Understand”?
It’s not about the Pistons, it’s the act.

the infamous Celtic series they played Celtics was up and salley infamously said some shit to the camera like it's aggressive time and either threw an elbow or a punch towards camera.. Detroit started beating the Celtics up the rest of the series and won.. It's why the Celtics walked off the court cause they didn't respect that dirty shit.. told you bird didn't give a fuck about zeke either cause he wore them piston colorsHold on hold on now you bugging
Zeke and Joe and Mark and Vinnie
Primary skills were they were dirty?
Wtf bro you bugging
And you KNOW better
The WHOLE LEAGUE played like that too.

I was actually going to edit my original post to address the act and deleted accidentally.
You know...
I PERSONALLY don't like the no handshake thing (still loved it at the time)
But at the time in context after boston you can't put the piston situation with the others like that its lazy.
It was not petulance or bitterness
It was a RESPONSE and specific
It was EXACTLY what was done to them.
Trust if jordan was not the favorite son?
And talking sh*t complaining
And didn't need every single solitary perceived slight real or imaginary to fuel that undying fire?
Would not have been an issue.
If Zeke had complained about Bird not shaking his hand...
What would the reaction have been?
Nothing.
Well actually they would sing songs of praise of how larry joe bird was such a fierce competitor.
Embid was a baby plus he KNEW better SPECIFICALLY because of what happened to the bad boys in basketball history.
So no
its just not the same.
Again personally, i teach my kids NOT to do that.
But in context especially detroit?
It was what it was and it was fine.
Old enough to remember that series. Hell, picked up playing basketball when the Sixers/Trailblazers fought it out in the finals. It was my first introduction to Julius Erving. Made my Dad go buy me a backboard and ball for the house THAT day. (lol)
Anyway. If you really want to know the fact is viewership for the NBA was just starting to take off during the Bird/Johnson era. When that series ended, and the Celtics decided to walk off there were two things in play. The first was the Piston's style of play which was only a little more exaggerated that both the Celtics and Lakers. Things were tough back then. I distinctly remember no one talking about the "walk off" when it was actually happening. It may have been mentioned somewhere but it was definitely a whisper because there was no social network back int he day and sports was just a footnote when it came to the news. Add to the fact that there probably wasn't a single news agency in the country that would portray the Celtics of all teams as poor sportsman.
Enter the "Jordan" era. Even in losing that team was on the cusp of being rock stars not only around the NBA but the world because of Jordan. Everything involving that team was highlighted. The Pistons made their brand of ball ugly and the fact is no one liked them outside of Detroit. The absolute worst thing they could do was walk off after being defeated. Writers had their pen in hand just waiting for them to do or say (which they did in the past) something that would further tarnish their brand. They didn't disappoint.
I knew Shannon wasn’t gonna roast Skip about Phil telling Mike to use his teammates..lol

he's been super moist since than
Wait, so there’s proof that I wasn’t “Conveniently” forgetting?

never saw the 30 for 30... But Celtics wasn't really liked either.. That was the all cac team in people eyes.. It's actually why bird doesn't get all the respect he does cause to many black people he represented the enemy.. I think Celtics hands down wasCeltics were beating the living sh*t out the Lakers
Facts
There is damn 6 hour 30 for 30 on it
Stop it fam
