Im a Knicks diehard

Its LAUGHABLE how people today act like Jordan played with ALL scrubs

Paxton kerr bj shot DAGGERS

Horace grant was solid as f*ck

These kids don't know sh*t about ron Harper

And toni kukoc was a damn problem

And all those damn centers they dismiss now?

were able to clear the paint, defend with smart timely fouls, make reliable jump shots, executed the triangle and hit free throws

Again OTHER jordan haters HATED US

cause we showed MJ so much love and respect

"Smith blooked! Smith...Smith blocked again!!" That Marv Albert quote will stay with me forever...lol!!!

You think Daley had more pull than mj,magic ,etc?
They probably would've said bye

Another Pistons person said he wasn't going to be involved because Isiah wasn't going to be on the time.

He didn't fight for Isiah, but he still make a stand.

Daley didn't fight for him or make a stand...even played golf with the enemy.

Funny how all these old players complaining about the modern player being soft and too chummy and friendly on and off the court?

Well look at THAT...

they gambled went to the strip club together drank and had the same agents...

to the POINT that BOTH Phil Jackson and Pat Riley REGULARLY COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SAME SH*T THESE FOLKS COMPLAINING ABOUT NOW!?!

But but but but but it was DIFFERENT

I will keep repeating it, cause again if they complained about it THEN, how making the SAME complaints now?

EVERYTHING is different since Russell, Magic and Jordan played....

so they need to STOP comparing.

and complaining

That’s definitely funny!

What’s even funnier is...

When MJ came back from retirement and lost to Orlando. That summer he was filming Spacejam. He invited all NBA players, top ones in the league to play so that he’d know their moves and what they’d do when he played them in games.

Giannis Antetokounmpo said that he didn’t want to train with players so that they wouldn’t get familiar with his game and know what he’d do in games and in the playoffs when he’d play with those players that he trained with. He didn’t want to get all chummy with players who’d eventually be his opponents.

That was mentioned after he turned down an invite to train with Lebron and others.

Crazy world!

Crazy world!

Like I been saying

its lazy for everyone to think just because someone did NOT win a championship?

they mentally weak and lacking

or there friendship effected their play

I used to hear this EVERY time Georgetown centers would play Ewing

Or when Isiah was kissing Magic

everyone CHAMPIONS Westbook being angry and petty

till his trams aint win and it ran off his teammates?

Where that "alpha male " bullsh*t then?

Winning is HARD

PERIOD

If Giannis never wins?

Lets see how THAT specific story ages?

Winning’s Very Hard!

It takes a team and for a player to be I. The right situation at the right time.

I don’t and can’t look down on Ewing, Stockton, Malone, Barkley etc for not winning a championship.

They all played against Mike :dunno:

Who is complaining and comparing?

You bring this shit up more than anyone I see on TV.

Basketball is different. Players know each other from AAU and have cell phones to stay in constant contact.

I'm wondering why you keep repeating the same shit on this board over and over like someone is going to hear you...the shit is weird.

ESPN flubs Bad Boys walkout story

ESPN did exactly as expected.

It did not present a major component of the Bad Boy Pistons walk out story line during Last Dance, the documentary about the dynasty Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan.

It was predictable. It was expected.
It is what everybody does who chronicles this important passing of the torch. The day before the walk out Michael Jordan sat in the end zone seats at the Palace and destroyed the Pistons legacy. It was mean spirited and it was calculated to rid the world of the Pistons rough and tumble ways on the basketball floor and usher in the more pleasing legacy of Jordan and the Bulls.

Jordan said the Pistons were Bad Champions. Bad for basketball.

Shameful.

When Jordan spoke the Bulls were up 3-0 against the aging Pistons in the Eastern Conference Finals and by that time the entire world knew the two-time defending champion Pistons were toast and the running of the Bulls was just beginning.

Then a day after destroying the Pistons franchise Jordan expects the Pistons to shake hands?

John Salley did shake the Bulls hands. But we never see that footage.

Previous to the Pistons walk out we have the Boston Celtics walk out of the Pistons. Yet we never hear about that.

The only footage we see is of Kevin McHale shaking hands with Isiah Thomas at mid court. And that only happened because Thomas intercepted McHale who was trying to sneak out of the Silverdome with teammates Larry Bird, Dennis Johnson and Robert Parish.

The world is left to believe that the Celtics gave it up to the Pistons after the Pistons finally passed them.

That is not true.

The 1980s was an era of bad blood and fierce rivalries. It does not make it better or worse than what we see today. It was just different.

The Pistons run was never supposed to happen. The passing of the torch was meant to pass from Magic Johnson and Larry Bird to Michael Jordan. The Pistons, however, got in the way and their story is getting the short shaft.

Being a good sport means shaking hands of your opponents when they beat you.

However, must you smile and say everything is OK when your opponent does something as vicious and calculating as Jordan?

I agreed with the walk out then. I agree with it today.

Maybe I am sensitive to this because I was one of those ink stained reporters who listened to Jordan that day dog the Pistons. I wrote about it and commentated about it. But if you go by media reports that day never happened.

Maybe it was a figment of my imagination.

Last dance is the most powerful and far reaching documentary that ESPN has done. For generations this is what future fans will be told. The Pistons were thugs.

The Bulls finally passed them. And the Pistons were bad sports for not shaking hands.

That’s it.

There is an important missing link that is being swept under the rugs.

Shame ESPN.

Shame.

Shame.

But, it was no big deal when several of the Boston Celtics walked off the court without shaking hands! Go to 1:52:00

This dude Nick Wright actually said the 90's Knicks weren't any good, I don't know if he doing this because he is a LeBron stan and he's trying to discredit Jordan but this fool has no idea what he's talking about. I'm a diehard Bulls fan, those Knicks teams were damn good. They played great defense! These young fools have no clue! :smh: His commentary starts @3:38 mark

I don’t think anybody on the team besides MJ was like “who else is on the team” before they gave an answer when they got that call from Rod Thorn. At that time NBA players werent playing in the Olympics so this was a chance to play in the Olympics and win a gold medal so that was probably in the minds of all the players except one

Lol that was the brand of basketball they played and the played it well. It doesn't mean they sucked though. NFL was the same way, you played a more physical style game, you could not come across the middle without getting blasted. The NBA was you couldn't come down the lane and get easy baskets especially if you popp'n off at the mouth. To say they sucked though? I ain't buying that.
