According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, a Netflix lawsuit brought about by actor and comedian Mo’Nique has been settled. The lawsuit in question had to do with Mo’Nique’s assertion that Netflix practiced discriminatory tactics against Black women by underpaying them. Both sides have apparently dropped their side of the case, moving to dismiss the lawsuit as of this week. With this settlement, it can be viewed as a win for Mo’Nique, who is preparing to film her latest project with director Lee Daniels called Demon House, co-starring Glenn Close and Octavia Spencer.

of those that have the funds is to bring up your own lawsuit in hopes the other side drops.

That settlement is a win for her if you're looking at it in the short term. In the long term she lost! Netflix settled it to get rid of her. She will never get a special on Netflix and others are looking at it and believe me when Monique knocks on there door they are not even going to answer because they don't want to be sued. Netflix could have won the case but would have lost in the court of public opinion and that's why they settled. The only place she can get work is from 50 until she attacks him... AND SHE WILL! The only way to determine whether it was a win for her is to know the terms of the settlement. That seems elementary. They may have just paid the amount it would’ve cost them to pay their lawyers or an amount that we call a nuisance fee. Who knows?
