well why did amy shumer go on IG and say that netflix lowballed her and wouldn't do that to a chappelle or rock when she could have easily let her lawyers and agent negotiate something better behind closed doors??? And mind you her dispute was that 11 MILLION dollars wasn't enuff. I sai it before...
Amy went to her FANS ON SOCIAL MEDIA and complained about it and while she did get some backlash for comparing herself to dave Chappelle and chris rock...NO ONE TOLD HER SHUT THE FUCK UP AND TAKE THAT 11 MILLION BECAUSE "THAT'S MORE THAN THE AVERAGE FAMILY MAKES IN A LIFETIME"...NO ONE SAID THAT TO HER... NOT STEVE HARVEY OR MICHAEL BLACKSON OR DL HUGHLEY NOR ANY WHITE COMEDIANS... SUBSEQUENTLY, NETFLIX GAVE HER TWO MILLION MORE...

Well there are a few factors at play, in some cases women were earning more than their male counterparts when they won an oscar. Age can play part in the equation, so it isn't always a case of black & white pay discrimination. At what stage of their careers & the parts that they won for. In Monique's case she won it for playing a fat cruddy chick, which was pretty much her in real life. And yeah some will say she had a "successful" tv show but once again no really acting or talent was needed to play a loud, fat, extra thirsty over horny broad constantly running behind a man who didn't want her..lol

that is not what they are speaking on. Last year, Dave asked people not to support streaming on the different platforms because he was not being compensated via streaming from Viacom. Dave basically said he signed an unfair contract that allowed Viacom to profit from the show via streaming without paying him or needing his permission to license the show to the different streaming platforms. Because Netflix was already winning from Dave's stand ups, they immediately supported him and pulled The Chappelle Show. shortly after Viacom gave in to Chappelle and he oked his fans supporting Chappelle Show again via streaming.
It clearly was over money or some form of rights to the content in this instance.
